Closed Starbound BETA: Bugs Database LU 8.29.14 (Not for nightly)

Scaling problem on health above 100. Using Impervium Armor.

Using a bandage with 500 HP doesn't scale, which barely heals me. Sleeping takes forever. I also respawn with only two bars of health, which is 1/5 of the starting life total of 100. Seems everything is currently based on having health at 100. Probably needs to be looked at.

 

Using osx version. Sometimes after restarting game app for two or more times keyboard control buttons (wasd) stop working until you restart steam.

 

STUCK: You get stuck when using your party member portal from his ship when after he went offline.

 

Description of the voxels are to big. It doesn't fit inside the window.

 

When underground water will pool above holes in the background and when a player travels through it (i.e. jumping into it and then falling) it will cause considerable fall-damage.

 

Rain bug: When it's raining, If your building is taller than the screen the raid comes through the blocks and rains indoors until the roof is visible on screen.

Door bug: The large Glitch castle door makes no sound at all when opened or closed.

Bird bug * I hope * : most birds abilities can kill you in one hit even on level 1 planets and all birds can damage you after death when they are falling usually resulting in my death after I've killed it and it's fallen on me.

Hope these three help will try to look for more ^_^

 

In multiplayer Frustrated Koala I have found sometimes I click on another player in the party but it comes up with my own character's name instead so I am unable to warp to their ship or kick them from the group, etc.

 

same thing happened to me, but if you try it enough time (10-30 sometimes even more time it will let you down to the planet...

 

Found a bug that can enable me to kill creatures through the dirt:



Im using a rocket launcher so im not sure if this is a bug or by design based on the AOE of the Rocket launcher.

I've problem that the game only able to use one CPU core. I tryed it with double and quad core cpus and the problem is the same. If you have a I7 cpu it's fine but, there are a lot of games that supports multi threading.

 

BUG THAT DON'T ALLOW ME TO NORMALLY SPOWN ON MY PLANET..

First of all, my dear friend -__-' digged a hole right under the spown point... and the first time i fell like one idiot in to the hole... no way back... dead
Second time, i tried to jump like one idiot and i survived, so i closed the hole with some dirt...
Third time... the game teleported me way and way down in the hole... OOOK
so i CLOSED ALL THE TUNNEL... AND... NOPE just for make me happy the game spowned me kms and kms deeeeeep... in the first free hole in the middle of the planet... THATS A PROBLEM... so i can't stay anymore in this planet 'cause every time I die, i have to walk 5 mins back to the top..

Another item without description and useless at this moment: Looker Coverer. Found it in a chest

 

Its a shield... nope?

 

In order to repair the diamond drill, You have to use platinum ore. Is that intended?

 

This isn't a bug per say, but i found 15 matter blocks in a lava laboratory that was very close to my spawn point. As soon as i was able to craft steel bars, i made two armor pieces with 20-25 armor that blow everything else away. That doesn't seem right to me.

 

With new update, armors and shields won't do anything. Armor doesn't reduce damage and shield doesn't block it.

 

• Birds still deal damage after death
• Birds are WAY too powerful. So are most enemies, but that's most likely due to armor being broken.
• Coal is much too rare; especially when considering it's the only way to fuel at the early tiers. Needs to be brought back to its previous consistency. Maybe buff the amount of fuel it gives by 1 or 2?
• Gear is underpowered, mobs are overpowered. Not fun.
• Search bars in inventory/crafting/etc tabs are selected by default. Really annoying.

 

Ran into a few problems while playing just now:



Water is not behaving properly deep underground where there are no background tiles. It goes to the edge of where the background tiles are, and does not empty as it should. when you fall through the water, even if it's just from like a foot up, you take damage. Also, pretty sure there probably should be background tiles there.... this was in an area with frog merchants and the whole area was missing a strip of background. Also, as you can see, rare ores are quite plentiful, probably TOO plentiful.



While using a sword with the energy effect, the blade itself wasn't able to do damage through blocks, the energy ball was able to hit monsters through blocks if you stood right next to the wall.

And finally, when I closed the game I got this error message:

 

I wanted to make sure my inventory was properly sorted and there weren't unnecessary duplicate stacks that could be combined, so I threw my entire (almost full) inventory on the floor using the Q-key. When I picked them up, I only gained around 1/3 of the items (stacks) that I used to have. In most cases I lost all items of a certain type, though in at least one case I had a single unit left of a stack of hundreds of units.

Probably not related, but all the items had been acquired before the most recent patch, glitch happened after the patch.

 

Dudes, merchants are mostly naked. I can tell who are the merchants in this Avian village by the lack of clothes that they wear. Villagers and guards are OK.
