  1. Sabor

    Sabor Scruffy Nerf-Herder

Sector X Starmaps are Gamma starmaps for those you make the map for, unless you stick it in a crate/chest/locker, then it switches to an X for those people

    Bugs

Sometimes cannot warp to other player's ships. This will either result in your character disappearing, or warping to your own ship. It appears to happen on and off, as sometimes you are able
    to, sometimes you are not.

Mechs are available but they only do 1 damage to any monsters above level 10.

Some songs upon being played by an instrument will crash your game. This is specific to the individual song.

Issues (Not sure if this is intended or not)

Plutonium currently offers 6 fuel per plutonium. This is redundant as common wood is worth a fuel each, and individual trees drop 20+ wood. Adding
an alternative use or increasing the fuel amount is necessary to prevent it from being redundant. It's also quite hard to obtain as Space is extremely cold and hard to reach.

Platinum seems to be abundant in Sector X and Titanium in Gamma Sector. This seems to be the reverse of what would be logical, as Platinum equipment leads into Titanium. (Devs have supposedly claimed this is unintentional and will be fixed)

Storage lockers and chests are extremely easy to break with a pickaxe but any items not picked up within 20-30 seconds will disappear. This means if you break a stack of chests, you will lose most of your items.

    Combat Helmet Clipping.
with certain hairstyle the hair is cut off close to the head but visible further away.
Makes no difference which slot it is worn in. Pictures below are a before and after.

  4. Raijyn

    Raijyn Phantasmal Quasar

Haha alright, sorry about that. If I catch any more in the future, I'll write the bug, then add the details in a separate line for ease of editing. Keep up the good work!

  5. Zarana

    Zarana Aquatic Astronaut

If you have pulse jump and another tech (dash for example) and have both equipped, pulse jumping, then switching to dash and back to pulse jump you can immediately pulse jump again, effectively giving you unlimited double jump if you can click fast enough

  6. Blitz

    Blitz Subatomic Cosmonaut

Your name clipping is worth mentioning as well.
Combat Helmet clips with certain hairstyles.
Long names 'clip' outside of their intended area at the top left corner of the screen where character information is displayed.

  7. G3Shawty

    G3Shawty Poptop Tamer

If you have Pulse Jump w/ another tech, You can infinitely double-jump if you have fast hands.
Just pulse jump, then switch to your second tech, then switch back to Pulse Jump and you can continuously do this.

EDIT: Someone beat me to it :p

  8. Sapfruit

    Sapfruit Scruffy Nerf-Herder

Using the linux 32bit version from Steam, Beta version: Irritated Koala.

    Unlisted bugs
    • You can do other actions that are opening a window (craft, smelt, containers...) while sleeping by hovering the furniture and press the use key, as long as they're reachable.

    • Some mob aren't always displayed where they actually are. Screenshot below - each arrow missed this mob until one was shot in the water, which is where it actually was. It stayed off the water even after being hit and killed, the leather it dropped was at the right location though (it went left of the actual location). Note: the mob was shown as walking to the left but wasn't getting anywhere.

    • Some mobs are walking one block below the ground and aren't getting anywhere, stuck until they're shot/hit:

    • Lack of support of diacritics (Unicode?) when directly entering them (not from the clipboard), no crash but a square is shown instead.

    • Lack of support of non-QWERTY layouts. [Have already seen it mentionned in other posts but not in this list]
    Additional details on existing bugs:
    Items - to bug #7
    :
In a similar way, you can go through the roof of your ship by placing a shelf very near the ceiling, place bed on it, then use the bed from below and wake up. You will be stuck there though.
Workarounds: repeatedly jump off the shelf, or beam down
Possible solution: Placement of beds should check if the spot where you wake up is high enough.

    NPC - to bug #2:
Mostly noticed this with bipeds on this kind of terrain (left mob tries to go left):

I found a bug! You seem to have gotten the Found 200 bugs achievement when you only found 199.

Seriously though, great list, keep it up :D

  10. quoting_mungo

    quoting_mungo Yeah, You!

    Graphical glitch:
The clouds in the background of certain planets get glitchy lines in them when player is at very specific heights: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zcgk9t66mbjzy3n/CloudGlitchMoon.png

    Block bug(?):
Light bluish moonstone drops as blood red items. Presumably a bug since different color dirt and cobblestone etc make separate stacks (and the dirt keeps its color).

It's already noted that torches can be placed in poison and lava - this is also true for the dark "tar water" in underground tar biomes.

Falling sand/gravel sometimes is destroyed or lands on top of torches as if they're solid blocks. Sometimes, especially when you have large amounts of falling sand/gravel, it'll instead start to fall around the torch and eventually "overwhelm" it, causing it to despawn without dropping an item.

One more client-side bug (to be confirmed with another number of techs, different tech kinds, etc.):
    • You can't select techs that are in the third and fourth slots, at least when you have two techs.
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Have two techs. In my case, Pulse Jump and Energy Dash.
    2. In the Tech Station, lock in your two techs in the first and third slot.
    3. Now from the inventory, you can select the first slot (Pulse Jump), second slot (empty slot), but you can't select the third slot (Energy Dash) and fourth one (empty).
Same by placing both techs in the third and fourth slots. Only the first two empty slots can be selected.

  12. Chthonic One

    Chthonic One Aquatic Astronaut

This is a bug due to the smooth walking algorithm. You also cannot walk over such terrain normally, as the terrain is in the 1-0-2 (flipped) configuration, and the final part is a 2 block difference. The inconsistency is that a character cannot fit into a 1 block wide gap, so still sits at height 1 at the position where the ground is height 0.

This can be fixed however by taking the sprite's width into consideration in the algorithm. For example the player sprite is 2 wide, so in the above example (3-2-2-2-1-0-2) the comparative value for height at 0 going left to right is the greater of the current position and all positions to the left up to 1-width of the sprite. In this case the current height would be 1 because 1>0, and then the terrain would become walkable.

If we take a larger sprite, for example one 4 blocks wide, it would sit at 2 for it's height for its height and would not need to call the algorithm as it can't fit in the gap at 1-0. But if we change the terrain to (3-2-1-1-1-0-2) it will find that it has the same problem (1-1-1-0-2), as now it's calling the smooth walk algorithm which is malfunctioning in this case.

At current, any sprite can find an issue with this kind of terrain, so long as the last two values are a two height difference. However as I have shown, it shouldn't be a huge fix. You just need to remember that the sprite does not follow the terrain exactly as it can't fit into smaller gaps.

[Minor Bug] Codex entries, when read, keep the "new entry" tag

Also some entries exceed the maximum size of the codex window

Here is a list of codex entires with such text errors that I have found:

-From The Journal of Professor Irondome #1 (title is too long to be viewed while reading the entry)
-The Curious Glitch (first page is too long by one line)

  14. Frisky Fox

    Frisky Fox Void-Bound Voyager

    Typo

Item: Scientist Glases; should be Scientist Glasses

  15. ScarletTerror

    ScarletTerror Industrial Terraformer

BUG: Black Current Crumble crashes the game with no error messages

  16. Milan Mree

    Milan Mree Ketchup Robot

There's a graphical bug with Pioneer armor when holding a shield. The shoulder armor turns when hot holding it up and it looks funky.

Edit: Now that I'm looking at it, it looks funky with any item equipped.

I noticed on the interface that you cannot grab scrollbars with the mouse pointer and scroll the information you are trying to see. You have to scroll with the mouse scroll wheel or click on the up/down arrows above and below the scroll bar.

  18. Sapfruit

    Sapfruit Scruffy Nerf-Herder

More details on this: with a third tech, the third slot can be selected. It seems the unselectable tech happens when it is separated by an empty slot on its left.

  19. Hexon007

    Hexon007 Void-Bound Voyager

I found a bug while I was just goofing about in my ship.. Apparently you can build some tiles up on the top part of the screen.. good luck removing it afterwords. xD

  20. rmcrowley2000

    rmcrowley2000 Subatomic Cosmonaut

NPCs: It is possible to die after beaming up. After the part in the animation where your character is off screen but the screen is still on the planet, if an enemy hits where you were previously standing, you take damage. If you due, the beam animation completes to your ship, but you do not show up. Then, after a 3-5 second pause, the game shows the respawn animation.
