Closed Starbound BETA: Bugs Database LU 8.29.14 (Not for nightly)

Bug: Creatures look inconsistent between player clients. Possibly Linux64 vs. Windows, haven't confirmed.

Found another bug: Was in an underground floran prison, placed cobblestone over top of lava moats, was able to teleport to ship if i stood on the cobblestone i placed.

 

idk if this happens to everyone, but i've experienced not being able to attack when weilding a 2 handed hammer sort of weapon. it happens when i'm in close proximity to the enemy, so in order to hit them i'd have to start my attack further away then run to them. it was a very slow weapon, but if i were to just stand there and try and hit them while getting hurt i still wasn't able to get the animation to start

 

I'm not certain whether to be happy that only one bug can actually screw your computer
Or scared that even one bug can actually screw your computer.

 

It can fucking screw everything. This bug is very dangerous. And I mean VERY DANGEROUS. Please, use passwords in order to not let other players join your server, only your friends.

 

was placing blocks, and accidentally used the targeted blink on the same location i was placing a square of dirt in, this crashed my game, and upon restart, i can no longer access that character. When i try to connect to my server, it gives me a port connection error, but when I try to access single player my game crashes and gives me this message: http://i.imgur.com/icflgfL.png?1 . I am able to create/play on other characters, although they are also having problems joining my server. I've been googling around a bit but haven't seen people with similar problems.

 

There were windows behind the moats in the flora dungeon on my game. Could that have been it?

Blocks and Ore
Code Yellow: Smelting silver ore in furnace sometimes creates more ore. Example, 3 silver ore were smelted. After one bar was created, the number of silver ores left over turned into 6 and created three more silver bars.
Code Yellow: Draining water in underground sometimes hang in the air.

 

Here's a new one:
In the sewers, there are yellow spiders. When you hit them, instead of getting knockbacked like other ennemies, they just slide into the air until they hit a wall or something

The poo monster (http://playstarbound.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Q1HKZIE.gif, this one) animation is backwards, if it moves right, the animation is looking left and vice versa.

 

Durasteel helmet and chest have switched descriptions at the crafting station.

 

Now that you mention it: Did they try to fight back?
IIRC, they didnt for me.

 

I apologize if this has been posted already, but if you are digging underground and hit an overhead sand or grave pocket, and you have a torch placed below, every block that falls and touches the torch gets destroyed. This also includes any ores such as coal that may have come loose in the shuffle.

 

You can use the ship controls of a another players ship. When you hit travel, it deducts the fuel from that ship but your own ship is being sent to the target location.

 

Weapons and armor

grenade launchers allows the user to kill teammates and self. (intended feature?)

 

[Items]
Avian Aegisalt armor (possibly for other races also) gives 32 total armor even though the description says 31.

 

If you hold down while using the blink tech you can teleport trough walls ( only horizontal walls ) you can even blink outside of your ship and get stuck

 

Plants are growing on a floor of prison.
