Closed Starbound BETA: Bugs Database LU 8.29.14 (Not for nightly)

Temperature at night is higher than at day on snow planets. I don't think that it issupposed to be like that

 

Stutter. Not "lag".
Please use correct terms.
This game is also multiplayer and the wrong terms can lead to wrong bug warning.

I've huge stuttering in every location that is not "wild".

Does' matter if I'm attacked by 10 random beast. No stuttering at all. But if I enter a village, suburb, dungeon, flying ship and whatever, I've massive frame drop.

I think that the climbing rope should require a crafted hook as an item in the inventory slot and consume rope on use, consuming an iron bar each use is too expensive since it's only one jump.

 

Durasteel tech upgrade says Aegisalt is available on level 32 planets however Aegisalt only begins to spawn on level 33 Planets

 

Futile Arrowguard, Unloved Axeaffector, Star Bladeblocker does not have a description.

 

not sure if someone else replied to this but you can repair with diamonds... not the ore not sure if that is intended or not seeing as it is final pick

 

All the bugs I have found seem to be posted here. This is really helpful and amazing. Thank you for your hard work and efforts

 

You can beam back to your starship while underground if you're able to bust out the tile in the background. It doesn't appear to work everywhere though, more common near the surface. It breaks immersion though since we can't beam up usually otherwise.

 

I don't think this is a bug. You can do this on the "surface" level, which is anywhere above where the backdrop (behind background blocks) is rocks instead of sky or terrain.

 

Client Side Bug
Seem to be having issues with UI where the ship locker is not displayed properly meaning (Looks as though a lot of the window is just not displayed) I can't get my matter manipulator and therefore can't really do anything at all. The toolbar is also not displayed though the individual boxes are highlighted if you press relevant number.

 

World Generation Bug

These pillars appear on a few planets. It's worth noting that they go all the way up to "space" (the point at which asteroids start spawning and it's suddenly very, very cold). Also, on worlds that have this the asteroids have similar vertical holes in them, but not in line with the pillars. These are on Beta Andromidae Majoris I - Level 13 jungle, x 46591980 y 13729555.

Some craftable items are not affected by any filter. Steel bar in Metalwork Station can be found only in 'all items' folder.

Sometimes if pick up an item from inventory with cursor and then close the inventory with the cursor the item will disappear from the cursor so you can't place the item.

There are random FPS drops for several minutes (sometimes for 1 minute). PC: Win7, Intel Core2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 3GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS.

 

If its really not there (maybe i just couldnt find it) please add that ou can hit mobs trough 1block walls (sometimes even 2 block walls) this was quiet helpful for leveling up really fast because you can always just trap any mob and kill it without it being able to hit you back But it looks like this could be a real game breaker because it makes things too easy...

 

Ocumelon seeds grow extremely slow. (Took about 4-5 hours)

Copper ore can be used to repair any pickaxe in the game including diamond. (not sure if intended but seems like a bug from a balance perspective)

 

I found an interesting one...
After logging into a multiplayer server, beaming to a planet and back to your ship
Open a chest > pick up an instrument > click outside of your inventory > place the instrument back into your inventory > Select the song to play and hit the play button > exit the chest
It will play a short music clip like you stopped the action, and lock the chest open after you exit it. If you try activating anything it wont work.
Beaming to the planet/other users ships still works, but when beaming back to your ship you get a black screen
Again, you are able to beam from your ship even with the screen black.

 

"Picking up an instrument from inside of a container, clicking outside of it, placing it in your inventory, playing it and proceeding to exit the chest will glitch your ship. You may warp out of it, but warping back into it will give you a black screen, only allowing you to warp back out.,"

Better format for the database.

[Blocks and Ores]
Sand on certain worlds (Green, Pink and Blue sand) does not share physics with regular sand.

Only copper ore can repair the Platinum Pickaxe. (Haven't tested other Picks)

[Items]
Starmap Upgrades applied to the ship have randomly disappeared, causing a loss of access to the sectors associated with the upgrade.

After finding bones and being able to craft Bone Blocks, there are two craftable entries at the Crafting Table. One costs 3 bones, and the other costs 4.

Gold Greaves share a model with Copper Greaves, rather than being gold.

[NPCs]
Some monsters on higher worlds will only drop 10 pixels at a time, while on lower worlds some drop larger amounts than they should.

 

Starbound bought in summer and when I will only let me download the soundtrack, what the fuck do
