The logic gates (AND/NOT/OR etc) as well as the light bulb gate ( the one used for testing a circuit) always have an output of 0 (off). As in the logic gates do not perform the desired actions. Ex. Switch A and switch B are connected to an AND gate, when A and B are 1 (on) then the AND gate should register a 1. Instead both of these switches are 1 and the gate is still 0. If this has already been stated then ignore this post.

    http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/major-bug-server-memory-leaks.60825/

There are other memory leaks present in the server program as well. In the above linked thread, there are confirmations of memory leaks on the Linux x86 (32bit) version, and Windows 7 x64 (64 bit), as well as on the dedicated servers hosted by Multiplay. I can confirm the leak in Linux x64 as I'm seeing the server executable consume roughly 3.1GB of RAM and roughly 2.5GB of swap file, and this is running on Linux Mint 16 (Petra) with Cinnamon Desktop Environment.

I found two client related issues that have crashed the game multiple times:

    1. When warping to another planet (during the loading sequence/ship down time), the game will crash sometimes when opening the crafting window and typing in the search box.

    2. The game will crash or have severe lag spikes if the character is in combat with more than one enemy and there is a change in time (i.e. day 2 night or night 2 day)

Any force applied to you with the grappling hook is applied to you when you go into morph ball mode. But without the grappling hook's length limitation. So you can basically be sonic the hedgehog, or a flying ball.

I have the same issue on Harp with Bourree. Lots of posts about this already, just adding my voice to the choir.

please make starbound run on dual/triple cores instead of one single core. it is actually burning my computer up. I have to turn the fans up pretty high. Other than that, great game!

Combat and/or client related crash... just happened to me.

    - in window mode (i.e. not full screen), the game crashed when I accidentally clicked out of the window while I was in combat with 3 enemies.

-side note - it is very easy to accidentally throw your equipped item while trying to switch to the 1 or 2 hot buttons. Suggest changing the "throw item" key to something besides Q

When draining water with the drain item via a wired circuit, their is a chance the game will suddenly shut down, or the player is instantly teleported back to their ship. This happened deep underground, so I didn't "accidentally" teleport self back to my ship.

I'm surprised this bug isn't in the list.

    Bug:

Using the search bar in a crafting station or the 3D printer when there are a lot of items to search through, severely lowers fps every second or so that something is in the search box. This is especially annoying as due to the massive fps drop, trying to type in "chair" will frequently result in something like "cchaaiir".

To add to this, the search appears to be beginning the instant a letter is typed into the search bar and then the search appears to be being run again every second or so after that.

There are two things that should change if this is the case:
    1. Do not begin searching immediately as text is entered into the search box
Wait a small amount of time (obviously less than a second) to see if the user is going to enter more characters before starting the search, only begin searching after we have assumed that the user has stopped typing.
    2. Only search once and store the results
There is absolutely no reason I can think of that would cause the repeating fps drops every second or so. The search should occur once and only run again if the player unlocks a new recipe or picks up/drops items while the crafting window is open. The only time it is suitable to continuously search over and over is if the searching is far more optimised than it currently is and has no visible impact on performance.

NPCs can wander into pools of poison and don't seem to react to the poison damage in any way. (Seen on a Floran in a secluded hut.)
Rain destroys torches that are part of the automatically generated houses. Finding a couple of pick-upable torches just lying around a house/a village kind of destroys the effect.

Torches, furnaces, and campfires will randomly "fall" as in it becomes as if I dropped it out of my inventory

They will unplace and fall to the ground if you get water on them. Was that it? Or was there no water flowing around that area?

One thing that happened to me a few minutes ago was my computer froze with Starbound on. When i rebooted it, I was on a different planet (my home deleted), my spaceship was returned to it's original state, but all of my items in my inventory were intact.

During respawn animation, the game treats your character as if you've already respawned and are standing at your respawn point.

Easiest way to notice this? Die during acid rain. You'll hear the sounds for taking damage while the respawn animation is playing, and when you see the normal screen you'll be at half hp or lower (for new characters). Kinda bad.

    minor but irritating bug
when you hit your screenshot button (default f12) in steam with item tool tips open, it closes the item tool tip making it impossible to screenshot weapon ,armor, or item tool tips with steams default screenshot ability.

    Two things to report.

FIRST I don't know if it has been reported already (it's not in the first post) but some trees do not drop saplings. I think I've managed to figure out which ones and why. I've only ever seen it happen with trees that have a "blank" foliage. I've looked into the foliage files, and the ones that don't drop saplings are missing this line found in other types of foliage:
SECOND is a minor (but really freaking funny) graphical glitch. It seems that one of the tail pieces for small bipeds (the lightning one) was left with a white background as opposed to a transparent one, so each monster with that tail appears to be surrounded by a white square. I've attached some screenshots of the afflicted monsters. I've encountered it on four separate planets, three of which are shown in the picture.

I'm not sure what's causing this. But whenever I try to beam out of my ship onto the planet that I'm orbiting, sometimes, it'll just re-beam me into my own ship again (this can happen several times of re-beaming into my ship). Eventually with enough repeated beam attempts, I finally land on the planet..
