Closed Stable getting heavy lag when spending more time on a planet

Issue being that framerate drops gets worse overtime, turning into slideshow in the end.
Sometimes just being close to a dungeon also causes the same issue.

I found out how to temporarily get rid of the lag, by save&quitting and then loading the same character...

I'm still using same characters, pretty much created on when upbeat giraffe became new stable.

I went on and destroyed my old universe in hopes it would fix it, but nothing.

Although I haven't tried with making a completely new character from scratch yet...

I think the lag might be caused by the placeholder default. I recently experienced very bad lag on a planet immediately after placing some cheap lights. My starbound log had this error warning, same as yours does:

I think the cheap light is bugged and is what is causing the lag, or at least part of it.

 

Try deleting your packed.pak file (in the assets folder) and verifying the game through Steam to get a fresh one to see if that helps with those asset errors.

 

Nope, still getting the same futurelight asset error when I place a cheap light even after redownloading the packed.pak file.

 

on my hylotl character when i enter my ship if i wait around for 1 minute or so my FPS goes from 48.9 (which just so happens to be the exactl refresh rate of my monitor, dont ask, i got it for nine dollars xD ) (also my current PC sucks feet <60FPS in starbound >.> ) down to about 3-5 FPS
annoying as fudge.

 

Do you have cheap lights installed on your ship? Check your starbound log after that happens, see if you get the same asset error we both got.

I am having the kind of same problems on my end. I dunno exactly how much it gets downthe FPS but it gets completly unplayable the further down I mine. Apparently this happens on an ice planet. My starting planet had no problems whatsoever though. It's not related to how much time I play, just how down I get in that ice planet aparently. Similarly the outpost also experiences quite a bit of lag and if that's any indication I guess any location with a big building and tons of enemies like for example prisons will probably do the same which will cause combat problems.

I'll leave the file bellow but as you can see, it's not problems with lights as I get no errors.
