Have you ever been playing Minecraft and you saw a Spider Jockey and you were jealous? I have! How cool would it be to climb walls, shoot at things, place cobwebs, poison Beasties, and all out unleash hell on any and all creatures in your path!?!? I would appreciate any suggestions from my fellow Starbound fans, if I see any interesting/creative/cool ideas, I will try to add them to this top area of this post along with credit to the author of the idea. Thank You!
I would like to note that I wish there was a more polite response to the poll than "both are stupid", unfortunately it is the closest thing to my actual opinion. It's a nice idea at face value, but I really cannot say I agree with it being a minecraft reference just for the sake of being teh miancrafts. Riding giant spiders, sure I can get behind that, but I'm fairly certain it would work better as an original idea. Not sure what you mean by 'pixilated bow' though, Starbound is pixelated.
I said pixilated bow as in, starbound has guns but no bows, and I didn't mean for this to turn starbound into minecraft2.0, I just thought it would be damned cool to ride a spider and shoot at things from your roof
Personally, a Spider Jocky enemy or a creeper cameo would be enough for me. Pixelbows wouldn't fit in and probably wouldn't look nice.
We have metal swords as well as spears, there's a very high chance that Starbound will also have bows.
Most of the time, when people think of minecraft, they remember creepers. So most likely, if they DO actually add a cameo from minceraft (which I believe was mentioned to happen) it will most likely be a creeper. Other than that, riding spiders? Sure, a great mount, especially fun if it can climb walls. Not sure what does that have to do with minecraft though. Mounting and riding spiders has been in games before and after minecraft. Minecraft didn't invent it, so I'm not sure how that's a minecraft cameo.
Personally, for me, the spider jockey is way more iconic and a better minecraft 'cameo' than creepers. Creepers are stupid.
That might be so for you, but I've never seen a spider jockey in-game and most of the merchandise for Minecraft is about creepers, because they're what people usually think of when they think of Minecraft.
If ail to see the reason for your post. I said that's how it was for me. You literally just made my post twice as long to explain practically the same thing.
I don't see why you think that, since you said you thought a spider jockey was iconic to minecraft and I disagreed and said that a minecraft reference would make more sense as a creeper than a spider jockey. Or at least that's what I was trying to get across, but creepers have been confirmed as a cameo already so there's no point to this argument.
Try not to confuse pixilation [Stop motion, only, with live actors] with pixelation [Which is also technically the wrong term, but I would rather not bring it up any further]. But anyways, I agree with the others, there's already a minecraft cameo, and that's pretty much enough. I honestly think having more cameos would mean sucking up more attention from minecraft fans. That brings issues. And likewise, he said: "That might be so for you..." It's a disagreement of your opinion, and you need not repeat your statement, as you mentioned in your second post, as he already acknowledged the previous as an opinion.
Not sure well i know 1 thing minecraft fans will go crazy and say minecraft ripoff so half yes half no
People say Starbound is a Terraria ripoff and that Terraria is a Minecraft ripoff so I wouldn't be surprised if they started whining about it too.
