Okay, so character creation is, well, rather nice right now. Real meaty, lots of options, able to make your own unique character... There's actually a pretty good deal of content when it comes to the cosmetic look of your character... ... ... ... But I want more... Not really in the cosmetic sense, though. Like, more options for each race... Not like, racial abilities/passives, who cares about those (that's what mods are for), but optional backgrounds! A human raised by avians (or any other race, really) who would then have more knowledge about the race they grew up with, and show it when you inspect items (so, if raised by avians, knowing that the lamp smells like old fruit because it was used to make a room smell like fruit. Or the significance of the racial masks you find in avian tombs). Yea, it's a bit RPish, and, heck, anyone could do that ANYWAY, but it would be nice to have your actual character say different things depending on what their background is. Learned Floran's, Criminal Human's, Starting with a different ship other then your racial one, those kinds of things. And while we're talking about the start of the game, it would be nice to have different scenarios to fix/find your ship. Maybe you crashed your ship, and now you have to find a new one. Maybe someone on the planet you crashed on has a ship and needs it repaired, and when you do, you and them fly off and use their ship. Maybe there's a bunch of bandits/evil-faction that has a ship that you take-off with. Something to spice up the drab beginning, and drab "lush" planets that we always start off with. It's BORING to start a new character when you've already played through the beginning, and I'd love to see it spiced up! (plus, I make a TON of new characters >.>...) I mean, it really does break the immersion, for me, when I'm trying to play a human that has a fair knowledge of avian culture, and then inspect a rabbit tombstone and say "is that a rabbit?" I mean, I could make an avian, sure, but I want to play a human, I like how they look more, you know?
