Spend Your Money Wisely

EDIT: On second thought, it might not be the best of intentions for me to tell anyone how to spend their money. I can't prevent any tragedies by putting my nose into anyone's business, and I probably shouldn't.

 

I wouldn't sweat it too badly. It's not a matter of people spending their life savings. Some people are just loaded.



I, for one, am happy to see they're throwing a bone to a good cause like an indy game.

 

Depends who that person was, i remember there was a Dev with all the badges unlocked, because why not hes a dev he can do stuff like that.

Besides who are you to tell people how to spend their money? If they have 3000-5000$ to spend i believe they are old enough to know how to use or if they should use it, its their money after all.

 

So?

Let people do what they want, it's not anyone's business but their own.

 

some people just want all the badges and most og the tier are more like donations its like if you needed 20,000 to build something and you get 40,000 from someone so you can make it even better then it would of been before

I dont see what you are "crying" about, im glad people are donating, even if its the 15 usd pack, 2k usd pack or just all of them. They are supporting something im intrested in and thats a + in my book

Yes, but let me tell you that I have made a bunch of financial decisions that I thought was satisfactory at first, only to hunger for more spending as time went on. Spending this much on a game will give you a habit of spending a lot of money on other games as well; it's a dangerous habit, a habit that I once had, and are still trying my darnest to kick. I honestly ought not have spent $75 on starbound, but seriously...



I cut out the names, but this guy is a space hobo, meaning that she/he came in and immediately bought all tiers of preorder. This is what I call "impulse shopping", something I have tried my hardest to avoid for the longest of times. Sometimes people make bad decisions and not realize it. I think we all need to wait a few days before we pre-order anything, and see if we actually want six badges that costs $3,595.

 

More money they have more stuff they can do

The man was rich and stated this was the only game he'd do that for.

At the end of the day though not a single person cares about others' money, nor should they even remotely care unless they personally know them and know their financial standing/spending habits. You don't know anything about any of these people so move along.

 

The main problem is that buying multiple tiers just for the rewards is a highly irresponsible behavior, and I only wish to warn those who haven't pre-ordered yet to think before buying all purchases at once. It's their money, and they can spend it however they want, and they did. But Tiy didn't direly need our help to finish the game, and sometimes, spending a massive amount of money into one single game would only lead to regret.

 

That's not called impulsive that's called being badass(but seriously though watch your spending lol i honestly was going to pay for the 75$ tier but i though...do i seriously need this? so i just settled with the silver tier...this still haunts me today but i live it down )

 

You don't know if he's been lurking about for the same amount you have, and never even created a forum account until now. So, don't judge him for having "Space Hobo" as his forum title. I played League of Legends for about 1-1 1/2 of a year before I made and posted with my account. And like the others have been saying, "Don't complain, he is donating money to the devs."

 

That's right, it's only a game, and there's really no reason to do this you know.

No, I don't know about these people and I cannot stop them from spending their money into a game. But there are people who haven't spent their hard earned cash onto the game, and I can only hope they don't bug their parents into pouring out a huge sum of money just for this single game.

Yes, but to make an account just for the sake of buying all tiers of rewards, and buying all the rewards shortly after the pre-order is up, is "impulse shopping" in my book. I cannot stop him from buying those games, for he had already bought them. I'm just saying that this is just a game, and in the future, there's really no need to spend all that money into a single game of any genre.

 

I can be impulsive on occasion, especially when it comes to games, heh! I see something I like and if I can afford it I'll usually buy it there and then. key words though 'if I can afford it' That's important.

 

I'm buying it because I believe in what this game has to offer and all the wonderful experiences it will create. I see myself playing this for +1000 hours of my time, like minecraft.

 

theres no need to buy any game as games are wants and anyone buying all of them is probably very rich a doesnt care or wants to donate more money to the developers (at least thats what i think the majority think i could be completely wrong and am sry if i am)

 

Well i am also not complaining if you did buy it for the badges lol but seriously though i do think people should watch how much there spending AND i do know they should be able to handle there selves and this is there decision but i am just saying
