The cave dwelling monster. This creature is of humanoid form and usually appears deep within caves near water sources. It feeds primarily on small fish that are in the murky waters, but will attack most anything it thinks is edible. While not incredibly smart this monster is relativity intelligent and can do simple problem solving. Typically its a solitary and does not group with others, manly because they are territorial. Though the creature has wings it does not fly very much, the wings are more for gliding and getting to higher places in the caves. The wings also make for good paddles while it is submerged. It has both lungs and gills, so it has no problem on either terrain. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Please excuse my writing i am no literary genius and though i checked it a few times im sure i missed some things. If you didn't know already the title of this thread is Latin for cave dwelling monster, i couldn't think of a name so i though it would be cool. Though i drew the picture i am not very good at coloring so i left it black and white, I wish i was good a spriting cause i would do that. but if any one would like to sprite it feel free i would love to see it. but yea im open to any comments or suggestions on this, that includes the name, spriting, or anything else you'd like to say. Question though, what color is it? I didn't see it in the description anywhere so I just wanted to check with you.
Well I imagined it kind of a gray color. But you can do with it what u please I never really gave that much thought but I think it would definitly be an evolutionary mishap, like it evolved from some kind of giant cave snake and then over hundreds of years became partially sentient, kinda of a half way stage as far as intelligence goes.

Eh, I'd say your technique is pretty darn good, I have close to no shading in any of my pixel art, so you already have me beat!

I'm flattered you want to use it. You absolutely may. And it's just a matter of practising hard and spending a lot of time on it. Your face avatar really is good, and everything from now will only be better. Someone told me the moment you start being happy with your work is the moment you stop getting better. Always push yourself to do better, and being critical of your work is an invaluable skill. Much better to know what's wrong with something you've drawn so that you can fix it rather than to sit back and say that everything you do is mindblowingly awesome don't you think?
