Spawn 99% Items Using Only Working (so far) Command

For those who only want content and no surviving the /admin command is for you!
Once used (tested with Linux) your character will be an admin and able to craft everything from a crafting table.

Also can we have full console commands please, I hate the rain.

What we know so far:
/admin has been tested on the Linux version by me and works.
It enables all(?) premade items to be obtained from the crafting menu, including dev only items.

What we think so far:
I may have got a unpatched version of the game allowing the command.
It's Linux specific.
Or I'm just a wizard.

Edit: How do you even go about doing this? I type in /admin and it says no command found.

 

How do we open console? on windows here and /admin in chat doesnt do anything

 

When im using the /admin on my server hosted on my computer it says " <server>No such command admin" .
If it makes any difference I can say im saying it in the client. Since in the console I cant do shit, its just a CMD window where all I can do is to press the X to close the server.

 

Hmm. Enter then say /admin.

Before the beta was released the devs were having a Twitch chat, they accidentally pushed ahead a version one would allow players to use admin commands.

Then during delay they pushed a fix, hoping that no one would get the version with the admin commands.

If you still have the old one, It's gonna get fixed when the game updates.

 

It seems like that may be the case.
Better start storing all this in chests hue.

 

I'm jealous, I really wanted to see what the techs were but unfortunately they appear to be rare as hell.

If you ask me, they should just leave it in, somehow. I actually am one that thinks -all- game should have console commands, and in beta it'd be particularly useful. What do you expect, that no save editor will ever appear, etc?

 

I'll say add admin commands, only AFTER you give us Server protection. I don't want people on a server doing /admin and just trolling all over, I don't think any of my friends would do it, but once you go to the darkside of cheating in items, you aren't really playing like anyone else anymore. Sorry but, I want admin commands off until I have server control and can limit who can be an admin, make characters save server-side etc.

 

SP Console would be nice. A ton of things are extremely rare, forcing you to burn off tons of fuel to find one of them.

You have a very good point there Sir, however, what would you do for people who make characters, go on their own server, cheat in impervium armor and bombs then go on your server and wreak havoc. Would it be a good idea for the devs to put in an option to make all players joining create a new character? Furthermore, I think there should be some sort of protection against programs like cheat engine. people are constantly cheating on my server and its ruining the game.

 

Errr, one of the server tools that has been discussed quite a bit, was an option for saving character data server-side, this forces a new character on the server, and the players can't tamper with their own data, because it's saved to the server machine, not theirs. Cheating programs will be around eventually I'm sure, but there are usually counter-mods for when things like that happen, and yes I'd force server-side characters, but when I run a server it is up all but 10 minutes of the day when I reboot my PC nightly.
