I don't think scroll wheel mechanics will work too well with that.

 

Erm I just want to point out that you got your left and rights mixed up with the sun.
The sun and the flying creatures are on the right side.
But I didn't notice the tiny tentacles before.

That would be quite interesting and would add a lot of fun stuff we could do. It may just be like Terraria though, where things just floated for no reason if you took all the blocks from under it.
