Soundtracks Usage

    I've Pre-ordered Starbound and I wanted to ask a question.

    When Starbound comes out for example and I want to make a video about it, can I freely use the Soundtracks provided by the Pre-order in the video or it's not allowed?

    I just want to ask in order to avoid any misunderstandings or some sort in the future.

    EDIT: Also can I use them for videos that are not Starbound?

    From the official FAQ:


    It mentions "Starbound content", which one would assume includes the soundtrack so my guess would be yes, yes you can use the soundtrack freely. But I suppose it would be polite to wait until release.
     
  3. I'm pretty sure you can Use the Sountrack for Fan-Based Content of Starbound. Not for sharing, and not-starbound videos are a thing not stated in the FAQs.

    The option's there, I guess, but I wouldn't feel cool about making money using someone else's work. :p

    Videos that don't trigger ad impressions, though ... I'm going to be using Adobe Creative Suite stuff for work anyhow, I might as well have fun with it on my own time.

    I never had intention to actually make money from these soundtracks. All the videos I am going to make are going to be ad-free.
    I just want people to enjoy my videos and not get irritated by ads. I don't like the idea of having ads on my videos either.

    Anything that should be credited in my video, will be credited.
