Soundtrack.

Is the Nyan cat music that was used in the lighting preview part of the official soundtrack?
And if it is then I wonder how epic the rest of the soundtrack will be.

If only I had the full version of the Nyan cat used in the video.

 

I have no idea why people keep saying the music had anything to do with Nyan cat. After hearing that short clip from the music, I can't WAIT to hear more, and most of the regulars in the IRC felt the same way. That music was composed by the Starbound team member recruited for that purpose. It was completely original. The music heard in the clip was confirmed by the devs as one of many many tracks to be used in Starbound.

 

Even if it isn't a reference to Nyan cat it just sound reminding of it.
I always get sad when the video ends because it means the music ends too.

 

Honestly, I don't really hear the nyan cat in it at all. I mean, NYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYANYAN, is different than the music we heard in the lighting demo. Otherwise, I think it's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!

 

I really liked the music in the Lighting Demo video as well but alas I didn't catch anything similar to Nyan Cat. I really hope they offer a soundtrack separate of the game so I don't have to go digging through the game's folders. Great stuff though, another reason I'm looking forward to gameplay videos and the game vid itself. The music is superb.

 

If it good I'm sure they will. Based on the lighting trailer, I would buy the soundtrack.

 

I really like the music in the lighting demo it reminded me of an old NES game So I like it!

Di-Do-Di-Di-DIidi-Do-didididli... It is epic. I think it sounds lonely as well, seeing that is what the game is about: being lonely, in an ocean of stars.

 

I think the soundtrack for Starbound is going to be amazing judging from that song we've heard. That was just absolutely superb.
