The title says it all really. A couple times ill have made a little hidey hole to heal in during the day and be focusing on another screen, then I look back and I'm dead from hypothermia. Thank you Chucklefish!
When dying of hypothermia, there IS a sound as you take damage, but if you are off screen it's probably too late to save yourself at that point. I think sounds that constantly go off every time your health is below a certain threshold are annoying. I can't say how many times I've muted Zelda because of that. More active sounds while your warmth gage are going down could also get annoying if they were obnoxious... but I could see a softer sound that is more like an indicator being less annoying.
I'm going to have to +1 this, there is no reason not to have a sound for HP / warmth, you could simply create a small tick box in the sound portion of the options menu to disable a specific warning sound for HP / Warmth / Food, that way people who immerse themselves in the adventure, and aren't constantly watching their hp (like myself) don't get instantly killed by a random bird because I was at 1 hp for the better part of half an hour and had no indication of it (the fact that the HP bar is as far away from my character, and thus the focal point of my vision doesn't help either) It doesn't even need to be dramatically different from the other ones, once that annoying sound starts playing, usually people start looking for the cause, which can only be three different things and you can easily check all three within a second (food and warmth are in the same spot, and if it's neither it is your health.) I'm sure we can't be the only two people having problems with the lack of any indication that my health is low. (Also sorry for the necro, I wanted to avoid creating a new thread for this.)
