Something weird is going on at the Library

This has happened several times now, when I have an artifact to donate, I cannot place the selected item on the display case(s). The game pretty much freezes, I cannot move my farmer, I can't put the donation item back in my inventory. I can pan left & right and that's it. I have to close the game and lose progress. I have tried going to the library as soon as it opens at 9 am to re-try, in order to not waste time farming, and the same thing happens, just freezes. Anyone else come across this bug?
