Something about monster Evolution

So now we know that monsters will start off in a younger (capturable) form, and grow into a stronger adult form


Well i was wondering how the heck would that work for monsters like this


Robots evolving is gunna look pretty cool


ALSO my friend suggested that you could get a pet cat

and build or buy a mech for it, getting a strong companion!

 

Equipping cats with deadly mechs sounds like an insanely cool idea. I`m ready to bet me moustache that them mechanised cats are going to be DF2 Carps, just in Starbound setting.

 

I'd imagine an upgrade to the suit.

What? Your CatMech2000 is evolving!

 

The baby version should be something akin to Dr. Fetus from SMB.

 

Ok, I would actually like starter pets if I did get to put them in a giant mech.

 

Also... will flying and fish monters evolve too??

 

The feline evolution is already complete for this little guy.

If they evolve too much use head & shoulders on the creatures it is there weakness.

 

At first i didn't read the last line, so I thought your friend had just suggested a pet cat, and I shot myself.

 

We need a firetruck full of it just in case some crazy general decides to use "Napalm. LOTS and LOTS of napalm".
We also need some brave soul to get on a ladder... Just in case of giant cellular beings...
EDIT: on topic I would love to have a cat in the mech... I just hope he does love lasagna.

 

What I'm wondering is if they always evolve into tall, almost humanoid creatures.

Cat head pieces is probably the most awesome monster part in the history of the forevers.
I'm starting to think they need some lore written about them, as they seem to be a whole different race, rather than a simple monster part.

 

You're right. I want to hear their story. Because at first I'd assumed it was a Dr. Robotnik's badnicks' type of situation, where she's a non-sentient cat trapped in a robot against her will. But then while I was spriting, I noticed the two little levers in front of her. So if she's driving it, maybe she built it? Guess we'll have to wait until we run into one, and then scan it so the Logbook will tell us more about it.
