[solved] Mac: Game Won't Start

    g1ns3ng Space Hobo

    Every time I hit play, it opens the "preparing to launch" dialogue, says "running" on the sidebar for ~3 seconds, then nothing happens. I see a lot of other people with the same problem, but haven't seen a solution for mac (I've seen one for linux). I've tried re-downloading it about 5 times now. I don't seem to have an error log folder but I'm not so good at computers?

    I'm running Mac OS X 10.8.5
    My Build ID is 1252563

      I have exactly the same problem as described above. Not sure where to find the error log folder either, sorry.

      I'm running Mac OS X 10.11.3

        This problem was solved for me by updating my OS. the game works perfectly now and I'm running Mac OS X 10.11.6.

          I have updated my to Mac OS X 10.11.6, re installed the game, and re-started my laptop - unfortunately it is still not working.

            I suspect your issue is a different one from the OP's. Could you check for any logs in ~/StardewValley/ErrorLogs/?
