Bug/Issue SOLVED Game crashes on save load.

Hello everyone. My girlfriend's main save file somehow crashes everytime I try to load it. Her other save doesnt crash. Both the normal and _old save file have the /></SaveGame> string at the end. I have tried to transplant the other save's "savegameinfo" however it still crashes upon loading.

Any help would be appreciated, she put 60+ hours into it.

 

Try this:

1. Make sure you back up your saves before changing anything.
2. Undo the last save.
3. If it still doesn't work, post a zip of the affected save folder here and we'll take a look.

 

Alright I tried using the _old (by deleting the _old) but it still crashes on load.

@Pigu_lord Your save works fine for me, so we just need to figure out why it doesn't for you.

Try this:

1. install SMAPI if you don't have it;
   
2. run the game through SMAPI;
3. load your save and wait for it to crash;
4. upload your SMAPI log (see instructions on that page);
5. share the log link here.

 

Hey so my girlfriend apparently had run the beta on that save but then went back to the stable release. She didn't tell me that. I tried iton the beta and it suddenly worked. Thank you for your help I'm sorry this problem ended up being so simple.
