So you just land on an arbitrary planet...

...Provided you don't have any details about the planet you just arrived on, which way do you go?

East (Right)?
or
West (Left)?


Personally, I always go to the left. It's become a habit, and a good luck one at that.

 

I always go right, perhaps because I'm used to platform games generally making that the primary direction to move towards.

 

I'm actually really curious to see how this will turn out.

 

I usually go right. Unless I'm at a planet for mining purposes. Then I just go down.

 

I go one way until I die, then I go the other (unless I have reason not to). The initial direction is kinda random for me.

 

Mario trained me to go right.

 

Unless I land literally next to something interesting, I flip a coin and keep going until I circumvent the planet (I always plant a "flag" where I land)

 

This. And unless I see a promising cave or dungeon, I raid whatever buildings I come across and keep on moving until I circumvent the planet.

 

I always head right unless:

1. I know there's something interesting on the left side.
2. I'm following a friend who happens to go left.

 

East. I have a good reasoning for this, too.

Say you have a dog, just kidding, he's actually a secret agent. Now, your dog needs to get to the moon, right? Wrong. He actually needs to go and find the lost city of Atlantis, because that's the only place where you can get good provolone cheese these days, and he wants to make himself a good sandwich. Suddenly, your dog explodes, leaving behind a hamster that was actually controlling the dog from the inside. He introduces himself as Phil and begs you to take him to Atlantis as his dog robot has now perished. Anyway, you're a professional sailor by the name of Captain Orangebeard and you know the quickest way to get to Atlantis. This way is of course East, so you depart, get the cheese, and make the best sandwich that has ever existed before deciding to turn on the hamster, beating him to death with a ripe onion and taking the scrumptious meal for yourself.

So yeah, that's why I always go East, because I loves me a sandwich.

 

I go to the right until it either becomes night or i die, then i walk to the left, never do i do it the other way around.

anyways... It's random for me, I usually just go the way I feel like at the time, usually it's the way that seems less tedious, so I can not participate correctly in this poll...

as someone who always go's left (because yolo) you will realize, dungeons, pirate ships, and towns ALWAYS SPAWN LEFT. its kind of gamebreaking when I found that out, but honestly, their always freaking left, just a few hundred blocks from spawn.

If there not left their most likely on the other side of the planet.

I've NEVER once came across a dungeon or town to my right, if I have, it was really far, and most of the time closer if I would have gone left

First I build a small landmark, and then I start running. Left, right, I don't care, it's really random.
