My boyfriend bought me a copy of Starbound yesterday, because HE IS THE BEST. We've been avid Terraria players for a while, and we were both so excited for this game. It's wonderful and beautiful and I'm so happy. My first experience with Starbound was dying a lot, figuring out how to not die after like an hour, and then accidentally storming a castle, which was hilarious. My laptop is not a fantastic gaming computer so a castle full of Glitches produced such massive slowdown that when I let up on the keys, my character just... didn't stop moving. I had my weapon out, so everyone got really mad when I came barging in at full speed. What followed was a slow-mo battle of epic proportions during which a crown fell on my head and I just kinda kept wearing it. The castle is mine now. And Razer Game Booster solved the slowdown problem. ANYWAY I'm super excited hi hello HELLO! Nice to meet you all! I am excited to be here and play the beta and watch this game progress!
Well hello there doodlemancy, I'm glad you seem to be enjoying the game so far! I'd just like to point out that you shouldn't really get too attached to your character / world as the game still is in BETA and the developers may decide that characters/worlds need resetting due to an update. Other than that I hope you continue to enjoy the game and if you have any problems feel free to ask around the forums as I'm sure there are tons of people willing to help you out.
