So, What Rare Things Have YOU Found In The Galaxy?

I know, I know, many of the posts here are about the basics of the game/suggestions, but why not have one about the cool and unique items out there in the galaxy? Add in pics of your finds if you want, but make sure to share where you found them so others can try to get them too! Sharing is caring, after all.

One of the first rare objects I found was the 'Rainbow Cape' in a rainbow chest amid...well...rainbow trees. It's a colourful cape that sparkles! I'll edit in a picture once I get the gumption to put it in, along with any other rares I find.

A bit after taking that picture, I found a Dash tech deep underground in a cool looking chest. There was an Apex village on the other side of the planet as well, and I found the recipe for a type of ice cream, the name escapes me, but it uses the fruit that tastes like anything. Oh! Two musical instruments as well, a bone xylophone, and a violin! There was a lore book in the Apex village, but it was Avian lore so it was worthless to me (still have it in storage though so if I ever go on a server I can be a nice guy and share it). I found two blueprints for Rainbow Wood beds, which look pretty cool IMO, but don't fit my building's style. Planet hopping has provided me a wide variety of seeds, ranging from grapes to neon melons too! All in all, this character is doing pretty well.

 

As in rare equipment?
Nothing so far, I think I got bad luck with my starter planet as I've yet to find any villages or dungeons. I might re-roll since characters are hardly permanent this early in beta.

 

I've found two pretty cool things so far:

All Seeing Hermit Blueprint - not sure what it does
Petty Whacker (the name doesn't do the sword justice) - Electric sword that shoots out a ball of energy.

 

I suppose if anything that is counted as "Rare" would be these.

Dull Tickler - It is a "crappybroadsword" but I think it is rather lovely. It has a poison debuff on anyone that is at contact.

 

Two neat weapons, though outclassed by my iron sword in terms of damage-per-hit:
A hammer that damages everything (even blocks) around the impact point AND launches bones that explode.
A two-handed sword that shoots bubbles after each swing.

Also Frogmen-merchants.

 

if you find monsters out in the universe with a particle effect (kind of like shiny) they seem to always drop some sort of weapon, so far ive found three of varying different power levels and by far my favourite was cthulu's sword which shot bubbles from the blade when you attack.

 

A legendary weapon that shoots bubbles each time you swing, found it on the very first planet. The damage is kinda suck to higher level mobs though but good enough for starting planet.

Also a giant flower backpiece.

 

I found a 'Gazing blade' that basically one-shots everything I've encountered if I direct hit it. I killed some legendary creature on my first world to get it, so my game's been really easy so far. I've also found a couple avian temples, an apex village, a glitch castle (which is now on my homeworld and I'm ruler heh), a sewer dungeon, and a lot of merchants/random bandits.

Otherwise everything I've gotten is pretty underleveled compared to my sword, though my armour is pretty bad so I'm a glass cannon atm. The sword also gives out three puffs of blood/smoke that deal damage in a sort of shotgun cloud in front of me, combined with fast swing speed it's hard for anything to hit me unless they drop on my head or are ranged.

 

Damn, you're a lucky bastard indeed polygone. Best thing I've found besides what you've encountered was a damn cultist in a room filled with saw blades.

 

I found a red flashlight in an Avian village. Oh, and I found 5 platinum bars! 5 platinum bars that I can't use until I get an anvil.

 

I managed to have a champion spawn on my first world, so I got me a Sharkblade. Which is a nice 2-hander that sprays bubbles when swung. It's pretty badass. For a hylotl at least.

I also have a Glitch wizard tower on that world as well.

 

Anyone find better mining tools? ;p

3 cool weapons,
a poison hammer.
a super powerful spear
and an ax that shoots electricity balls!

 

i can't go left in my world or it crashes, so im yet to even find a dungeon

 

Still on the starter planet... but so far I ran into one small encounter where I ran into a group of bandits that had raided an avian tomb. got some nice loot from there

 

To the people that found a dash tech... Know that I hate you.

 

At least you have pants, JSlade.

 

I want Dash I did find a double-jump tech, though.

Equip it to one of your slots and left click. You'll "learn" the blueprint (not sure what it is though, possibly an item blueprint? Techs are learned the same way)

 

I found this cool scroll that goes on your back in a Glitch Castle. (It doesn't have any effect but it sure looks cool)
