I'm surprised. I've never heard of it being over used.

Recently I was introduced to Dark Side of the Moon, and I couldn't help but make a time joke. Especially a good time joke, those are irresistible.

 

As I said up there, it's probably a YouTube thing.

Also, yeah I understand. Time jokes are good.

 

You're officially a troll, you seem to peruse the threads here with your "mantra" of Starbound not coming when it was supposed to, being vaporware, yada yada. You're becoming very, very annoying, not because you said it once, but because you are so persistently negative and...well...a troll. You deserve a new title!

Sigh. There I go, though...I fed it. Damn me.

 

Or I could be discussing my honest opinion on the matter. Remember, I've been sticking around this forum for quite sometime, seen a lot of release date threads, and for the most part, seen the same thread virtually rehashed over and over again. Lets not confuse cynical outlooks on thing to immediately mean "TROLLL!!!!!". This by no means really could be considered trolling by any degree. I too wish to play this game as well but the cyclical nature of these forums makes it quite hard to really enjoy any speculation.

 

You're certainly right that it doesn't make you a troll just by being cynical, and I do believe that the term "troll" is an abused one, used often to pass someone off with a simple label. Well, whatever you're doing... just be wary of the jarring, negative, and sometimes derailing effects that such comments can have. I'm open to your posts having validity and substance, but posting the same doubt and disillusionment in multiple places won't really breed good feelings. There's a balance. I, too, go through moments of feeling how you have to a lesser degree, but I try to stay positive (but don't always succeed) and be rational...though I suppose 'rational' is a bit subjective.

Glad to see were on the same page. Anyway, I kinda think that things around here tend to spiral out of control when anyone starts thinking about trolls roaming around when the reality is quite different. Hopefully soon we will hear some good news about the game and the tension will ease.

Ha, there definitely is some tension once in a while on here. I think my main point is intention vs. impact... one's intention may not be to cause negativity and ill-felt relations in the forums, but sometime I think the things that are said by some/many/even myself at times can be construed as otherwise...or, at times, can be construed as exactly what was intended to be said...which is the one that's the bigger issue. I think those that intend on just ticking others off and causing problems can be considered trolls, they're safe on the internet and they know they it...

But anyway, I think that at the point I start to feel more jaded and disillusioned with the forums, I'd just take a little break and maybe just pop in once in a while to see News, Announcements, or if a new interesting thread pops up...for my own sanity, and for the sake of staying reasonably positive (and productive haha). I'm certainly hoping for some big, good news about the game too, just like anyone else on here I'd imagine.

 

I honestly have yet to hear anything Pink Floyd from anyone. And I am on the internet almost the entire time I am asle- awake. Awake.

Perhaps I should look closer into this Pink Floyd thing. I may have missed some references.

I don't know... I mean, I do really love 70's and 80's classic rock, but I just don't really like Pink Floyd for some reason... It's not my fault, I can't just decide to like it all of the sudden... :/
