Dang, that's more that twice what I make...Although I work in a grocery store, so low wages are kind of to be expected.
Edit: Still, the fact is I have a job. And that's better than no job.

 

As weird as it may seem, I am genuinely concerned about your somewhat childish attitude - not only your level of literacy - because I know how demanding preparations for settling down with someone are. If you live for yourself it's only your business to get yourself screwed over, but if you plan to get married, you will share consequences of both your successes and failures with your partner - in which case risking losing a job over a computer game or being labeled almost-illiterate is something that as an adult person you should strive to avoid.

Other than that, I am sure your fiancee is a great person but given that I don't know her, nor I am interested, I cannot say I am jealous. All the better for everyone involved, I'd say.

I really feel.. the same. Except I only have a crappy part time job right now at a crappy little shop. college student. so I have alot more time to just spaz over starbound so I can concentrate in college.. sometimes

 

TBH, I haven't really looked at what other games are coming out in 2013. So far my calendar just has STARBOUND written across the year in big bold sharpie.

 

Yeah. Usually im not that frantic about a game.. but god damn I need this bad.

I'm astonished how well I've melded here, usually I just lurk, but I've been posting more then on any forum/facebook/reddit. It feels like we arent numbers, everyone is kind and welcoming, so i can't imagine someone being interested in starbound and just lurking these forums. Anyways, after saying this, here what is making me bear the wait....

1. You don't need to do this, but if you're a YouTube guy, artist, musician, anything, do stuff that has to do with starbound. this way your not just doing the same stuff by watching the same videos over and over again (I know how you feel, brotha). For instance, i decided I'd start a YouTube channel so that when Starbound is out I can start releasing videos of it. Also, because of this I'm asking spriters to make me good looking sprites for my signature. In any case when you have FREE TIME you can try and do your own activities having to do with starbound.

2. You could always just try and pre occupy yourself with another game or something. Something new and fresh. I don't care what anyone says, but like at least 10-40% of why people are excited for this is because it's NEW. It's SHINY. All I'm saying is, you could buy something new to decrease your hype to a healthy level. For instance, I'm obsessed with Starbound but I know in a week or so, once i get my tax return (which is when i get my diamond pre-order) I can buy a 3DSXL and play various games such as Monster Hunter and Ocarina of Time. That'll keep me busy.

3. Play something similar. When I was waiting for GW2, I played GW1. When I was waiting for FFXIV, I went back to FFXI. It gives the illusion of either playing it, bettering your skills for the game your waiting for and just spending your time in a similar manner to how youw ant to spend time in Starbound. Best advice though; try Terraria. Again, i would do this plan if i wasn't buying a 3DSXL, but you on the other hand might wanna do this.

I'm doing something similar actually, I'm a fan of Harvest Moon, and by extension Rune Factory, I'm going back and playing RF3 till RF4 comes out.

I'm the Starbound guy at home. I told my friends, i told my sisters and most of the people i know online. They bought the game, i got a 4pack and some people got the game from me. They know about the Starbound homepage and these forums, but they never come here. Instead they somehow think that I am the Starbound guy, because i told them about the game. When i talk to my sisters on the phone there always comes that part when they ask me about starbound. Any news on starbound? You found out when its going to be released? When i chat with someone on steam, or talk to my friends on teamspeak, someone always asks if we can play starbound yet. When someones releases new info or screenshots on these forums, they expect me to share that link with them. It's like I've been thrusted face forward into a beehive since the pre-orders started. I hope starbound beta is playable soon. Starbound guy wants to be himself again

 

yea man i am reaching that point as well it is getting pretty bad but i like the game sooo much i must do more!!!!!!!
