So I lost my storage with all my items inside. I am I NOT upset?

When it first happened, I will admit I was a little disappointed, since I had a bunch of cool stuff in my locker, but I got over it relatively quickly, got a new locker and fuel station from a mod, and used the Creative Mode Mod to get a decent chunk of my locker contents back.

 

Yeah yeah. Ignore what I say up there and then make accusations. Not only that but try personally attacking me.

I'm so guilty of being irritated that these threads pop up every time a complaint thread is made.

I'm so guilty of trying to get attention that I actually responded to those who replied to me. Therefore "hijacking" this thread.

That's interesting. I'm pretty sure the mod still has the ship locker though.

 

Thanks god I didn't load my game with the broken things... even if I did, my PC auto backup my game Saves to OneDrive. Encase of a HDD fail or needed Backup.

 

Remember the devs have made a fix that should prevent the problem (if you never loaded up your game yet). I would say run that first (make sure you backup your save) then try this.

 

I just tried and it deleted my Ship locker, the fuel hatch was fine, but about 5% of my chests/containers where missing... so ill wait.

 

TBH, I just want my ship locker back, I needed to clean it out anyways.

 

its gone forever unless you backed up your shipworld.

 

That or just obtain a ship mod to have a ship with 8 lockers! Unless you're completely opposed to the idea of mods.

Also, I have no intentions to gain high fives (you should see how unpopular I am in the world of Reddit). A little bit of humor goes a long way. Sure, it gets a little old when you see the first page of general discussion flooded with complaints. Forums are meant for discussion as long as rules are being followed. Debate and opinions are always welcome.

I like this community more than most, which is why I felt the need to post my opinion. Oddly enough, I am the same way IRL, I may be initially upset when something I own breaks or is lost, but it's a material item which I can obtain again in the near future. I should be angry, but I am not. Which is why I understand why people are acting all Hulk-like.

 

Nahh what I said was not directed at you. Just my general thoughts on how much threads like these pop up.

I have to commend you for not making it flame bait or pushing for conflict.

 

I'm much on the same boast as the OP.

It sucks we lost items.
It sucks many of us won't get back the stuff.
It sucks that so many are getting uber pissed and calling Chuckefish out despite us all knowingly playing after they told us this stage is quite likely to be unstable.

I'm still annoyed and pissed, but not at Chucklefish.
But I did realize I don't quite have the amount of Constitution points to handle this level of the game and I'm going to leave SB till it hits the 2nd stage where it'll be 99% stable.

Sorry you feel that way, you may want to uninstall. I am in Wildstar beta and when I see the little SB icon in my task bar, I cannot avoid leaving WS and playing SB every now and again.

Am I the only one that has .tmp files in my player folder?!. I was able to get my locker back and items from a .tmp file that the game seems to automatically create.

And yeah on topic moreso. I was upset when it happened, of course the chests I had my most precious things in was gone :-/.. but, yeah I was only disappointed and sad because I was told no more ship/character wipes and then I lost part of my ship and my most fond of things too lol.. So it was almost like my trust had been betrayed type of feeling . but yeah it is beta. :-/.

 

have you tried using your backup player files? Omni suggested that in his newest blog.

 

Yes, but it does nil. The shiplocker and the chests are still gone.

 

i cant even play until i have all of the updates for my mods ready
