Agree with you wholeheartedly. I have no intention of locking the thread unless people keep filling it with cancer. Tone it down. I think you can send private messages to each other, right?

And yes, I'm still checking the thread, and will continue to do so as long as there are posts. I just work full time is all.

 

I haven't read this thread, but going by the other thread talking about spending loads of money on the game, I imagine it didn't go very well. But something about the gun looks awesome.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to Cass for such an awesome payment to the game we're all excited for, and that I wish I could donate half as much.

 

We're still tossing the ball around. Its all essentially what you see here until the devs contact me, and I contact my friends and me, my friends and the devs all have a powow over what we CAN do. From there we'll figure out what we WILL do. Everything until then is ideas for the melting pot. Inspiration.

But yes, I would totally love a song. Its beginning to sound essential, honestly.

I like that you're offering up something that isn't a typical gun.

 

Did you consider making the projectile/laser/whatever actually move in rainbow-like arcs and bounce around? Like the pink knight in castle crashers if you have any knowledge of that.

If you take terrain into considering it could be fun to play with/learn how to use properly.

Take a look at 005-00:45 to see an example of what I mean.

I'd like to say I admire you for dropping that amount of bank in support so you can add your own flavor to the game. My hat's off to you sir!

I'd like to suggest you make it so your gun can do something truly unique but I'm unsure what restrictions are in place.

Your idea is something like a rainbow gun that takes in the light and darkness to create a powerful rainbow blast. I like the idea but IMO, build on that. For instance, perhaps depending on the planet and which biome it supports would dictate the color scheme of the rainbow. Lets say jungle worlds make the rainbow several different shades of green and yellow where an ocean world could make the rainbow more blueish.

That might go beyond the scope of what's possible here, but I think a gun like yours that centralizes on it's visual effect would benefit to have different visuals depending on the planet you use it on. Just a thought, hope it helps.

 

That's a cool idea, but I don't think he's allowed to request something like that. I'm assuming only the sprite of the gun will be used, just like the Hat Contest.
