I mean on Death Mountain the babies were already the size of cars, and when it hit earth in 65 mil BC it was the same size as it is currently. Maybe they're just widdle?

Ah, of course. That is why it took him so damn long to eat all the energy... He is just tiny compared to the things he eats. Lol

Well, according to the wiki, the civilian population of humanity was restrained to our Solar System (The USCM had bases elsewhere, like the Penal Colonies and Bunkers) but a large portion of the population still lived on Earth. Clearly, since they were fighting over control of Mars, that means Earth was still divided by different countries. Also, in the lore for what's going to be the sixth tier boss (Tentacle Comet) it says that it might be related to the creature that destroyed Earth, which leaves me to believe a large meteor crashed into earth, containing the egg of a tentacle monster, which burrowed into the core of the planet and fed of its energy until finally after years and years it smashed its tentacles out, destroying Earth. So maybe 20-25% of humanity survived, the USCM probably got as many citizens into their ships as possible and evacuated. We know a well known USCM General escaped with her best fleet of troops to a base near Mars, and they said 'We won't be going back to Earth anytime soon' which could hint to an endgame quest of destroying the monster and reclaiming Earth. Meanwhile, the Wiki shows Human Villages, which could exist in the future, but until then it seems the only surviving humans besides you are the USCM forces, locked up prisoners in the long abandoned Penal Colonies, and merchants scattered across the stars.

TLDR, Earth was screwed over, a decent amount of Humanity survived, the penguins watched us suffer as they escaped with superior technology, and we might be able to reclaim Earth. All in all, humanity isn't screwed, and Earth still has hope.

Actually.... nope your right. Is their any reason they don't try to make the cannon fodder less cannon foddery?

You are obviously forgetting the Catachan jungle fighters, who repel bolter slugs by flexing vigorously, and have knives that put chainswords to shame.

The brave men and women of the Imperial Guard are cannon fodder only insomuch as Baneblades are peacekeeping devices, and Basilisk artillery are gentle suggestions to disperse.

Do not underestimate the indomitable spirit of Man.

Pfft, with the tactics that the IG use, their only use is to drown the enemy in corpses.

True. But couldn't they you know, maybe learn something from the xeno weapons that are more advanced (energy weapon really as they have the solid rounds down). Granted there the whole "blah blah xeno this, xeno that", thing they would have to get over first before they could view the technology of the other races and make their own based off of it.

That is considered technoheresy by the adeptus mechanicus, who believe that all knowledge that ever was created, has already been created and is already in the possession of mankind. The only time the imperium makes advances in technology is when they find a Standard template construct hard copy read out. Also, the only people allowed to wield xeno techology are Deathwatch marines and Inquisitors

So basically they can't innovate from alien tech because of the people that worship the machine god?

    Correct, somewhat.
Also, Rogue Traders can also use XENO tech

considering that the people who worship the machine god control 99% of the technology and production power in the imperium, yes. Also, those who do try to inovate outside of the mechanicus either end up as tzeentch worshipers, or their work gets confiscated by the mechanicus.

What's wrong with playing non-human, what your saying sounds very racist!

To be honest if I have a chance to play non-human in a game I pick it, I find it more interesting and fun and I love role playing different races to.

Just... why did you put that in?

Question. Are apex technically "xenos" since they used to be human once?

Also I laugh at how numerous humans are in the starbound's universe, claiming to be master race, while clearly outnumbered.
If it's a matter of nuke power, I bet more advance species got better since then.

But they've got burgers, that, I am inclined to agree with, is awesome. Is that how you plan to defeat ye foes? With awesomeness?

They never were human. They were Xenos
And humans aren't even CLOSE to being outnumbered.
And of course, we have the Space marines, the Psykers, THE EMPERORS GRACE, Exterminatus's, and quadrillions of humans to throw at people
