In drop all your stuff mode do we lose the matter manipulator forever ?
edit : although I just realized yesterday that we don't even need to have it in our inventory to place blocks ... which we do by using it

I would assume that you would lose everything on you, but lets say you die in the middle of a field, if you get there in time to pick up your gear that was dropped? you could be fine or doomed for the rest of forever c: but who really does die before they could get a foot hold with a pickaxe.

UNLESS they FIX the item vanish times then the 'drop everything on death' mode will BASICALLY be semi hardcore since everything will have despawned before your respawn animation finishes playing.

Unless you have a buddy near by to collect your items, yeah.... it pretty much mean "you lose forever all items in your body upon death".

Actually, based on the tweet, there is drop your pixels mode, drop your items mode, and you character is gone when it dies mode. So basically easy mode, hard mode, and hardcore mode.

Hmm, I can see the appeal of this. Currently, assuming you don't have a large amount of pixels, you have no fear of death. You can run blindly into anything with no fear of suffering any consequence for your actions. These modes, especially permadeath, make every choice more difficult. It can completely change your style of play. Which is super cool!

But I probably won't use it.
