At the same time, there isn't much to report him for. That's what I'm talking about. I guess it would just be that he's reposting something that he should've read for first, but are we going to lock and ban every person who posts beta threads?

You're "reporting the thread to a moderator". There's no where in what the report button is that immediately suggests/implies that the user should be banned. But yes, we are going to lock every beta post thread as per the forum rules and use the unified thread for beta posts.

If I make a topic in the wrong forum, I hit the report button and ask a mod to move the topic to the proper forum. It's just a quick access to link a post/topic to a specific request for the mod to know what you're talking about.

Fine, I'll report the post as an unneeded thread and that it should be locked and that the person should post in the beta thread.

 

No one forces people who care for spoilers to read spoiler threads. I for example don't read spoiler threads about Terraria 1.2 and other than it'll have improved fluids and person would be able to go one block up without jumping I know nothing about it.

Even though there is spoiler thread on Terraria's forum.

 

Just create a spoiler sub forum where Tyi post stuff with spoiler, and create an insta-ban policy for everyone that post spoilers outside of that forum!

Yeah, and there's only one real way to stop "I wanna beta" threads from spawning.
