So about the upcoming character wipe, I don't understand

Does this include our worlds as well? like a complete wipe? or should we save our items in a base and it will be saved?
I'm fine with either, but I'm alittle confuse at whats really getting wiped because I'm reading a whole bunch of different stuff on reddit.

We were all expecting that this might happen. Personally, based on what was said, it sounds like the balance of the game will improve greatly.

 

I really hope they don't do a character wipe. I just got to Impervium armor and found a bunch of tech implants. I really don't want to rehunt all that stuff down again.

 

Then you shouldn't be playing the game then now.

 

This is why I'm not putting too much effort into progression, but instead exploring everything.

 

This is how betas usually run. There will be changes, corrections, things might get broken, the majority get fixed, and every so often a complete reset needs to be done so that people can find new issues with the early game and have them corrected. It is the nature of the beast.

People rocking full Impervium this soon after the beta drops... you guys have too much free time on your hands... just sayin'.

 

It honestly doesn't take that long to reach impervium. But aquired rare techs does take a long time.

 

There's no right or wrong way to play a beta. If someone wants to try to get the best stuff quick? They're going to get extremely useful feedback for the dev team. I'm sure they're really looking at balancing that well. (Honestly this character wipe seems to be related to the progression curve)

Expect stuff like this, but let's also not tell other people how much and how to play the beta. There's no right or wrong way to do it, and the more ways people play, the more feedback the devs get on different aspects of the game.

 

Not sure how. I'm still trying to put together a suit of silver. Finally got my breastplate today.

 

It took me an entire day to get from nothing to the upgraded gold set. But from there to impervium is less than an hour.

 

... how?

 

Kill the third boss, go to the last sector. Mine just enough ores of whatever type to acquire the next pattern to make the next set. Instead of making the sets one by one, I just got the ores for the pattern and just got impervium armor in about 45 mins to an hour.

 

if by not a lot of time, you mean more than 20hrs...then yes it is quite a lot of time for a beta that's been out 3days

 

Beta stage is like evolution if put in short word.
