Snow not melting - water and snow collecting inside house

Not sure where else to put this, but here's a couple issues: I'm on a world where is rains nearly every day but I've only seen it snow once. The snow, however, hangs around permanently in an otherwise warm climate. Also rain seems to pool inside my structures. (There's also snow on the floor about 5 levels underground.) It seems if parts of your structure is off-screen, weather isn't seeing its 'hit' zones.

That water means there's a gap in the wall somewhere. Make sure it all has background

Water can drip through 1 block thick wood walls. Double them up or use a different material.

Is that really how that mechanic works? I keep seeing people have this issue off and on and even I have had it. I still have yet to understand how to fix it. I have never paid close enough to the generated structures to see if they are all that way. I thought it was a bug involving parts of buildings not being loaded when you can't see them. Can we have a dev come and explain this one once and for all? Because I am totally lost now on how to keep liquids and such out of structures....

The snow you should be able to get rid of with like one quick tap on the Matter Manipulator. That removes snow, grass, tilled soil and other stuff on top of blocks first, THEN actually hits the block below if held.

As for the rain, what you might want to try is to make sure you have a block behind all your foreground blocks. I'm on a non-pooling rain planet, but I would catch rain seeping through til I put background blocks behind the ceilings. That said, an extra layer of roof tiles wouldn't hurt (and also for aesthetic reasons).

Like M_Sipher said, make sure you have background blocks behind the foreground blocks as well. You can also go to the wiring station and make some drains as they instantly suck up the water. You can also hook up the drains to a button or lever with your wiring tool so you can open and close the drains.

It does not drop through walls. If there is no background and you just put a foreground over it then the water will come down because its pouring in from the background. This also applies with snow falling from the sky snow will fall into your base from the background!

I have built an underwater base on a full ocean planet. I had to do the entire background first if one pixel is missing in the background and you put the foreground over it that's going to be really frustrating. It happened to me and I ripped my super large underwater base apart and rebuilt it because one block in the background had not been covered in my ceiling of my base so when I ripped my underwater base apart it was completely flooded after I fixed the problem I had all this water in my base so how did I remove it all?

    Drain!!!!!

All you need to do is put one down and watch the water begone!
