So is there a way to disable only the friendship decay, like in the original mod?

 

In the config.json file, you can edit the baseincrease value to 0. Presumably this would do it?

 

Not sure... I'll wait and see what @thakyZ has to say I guess.

 

So here's a dumb question! I'm new to mods, how does one open the config file? My computer doesn't seem to know what to do with a .json file.

 

You can open it with Notepad (or whatever is the default text editor on your computer).

 

So, has anybody figured out how to simply make this stop the decay and nothing more?

 

I'd love to know this as well, cause that's all I want out of a mod like this

 

from what i can understand this mod doesn't do that. It only increases NPC friendship points after a day. the only thing this guy added to it was the ability to have a random chance to gain it instead of it happening daily.

Edit: after reading the original mod, it seems that as long as you set the values to 0 then there is no decay by default

This will increase per day if you do not talk to the npc.
EDIT: Yes this will make it not increase per day I believe. I still have to do some testing though.

I will make it stop the decay once I figure out how to make that work.

I do not know this so maybe it is true, I didn't change much from the original code, so it should work still if it worked then.

It is true, I used the original mod for that purpose. But it doesn't function for the new update. You have an audience that would love to use this to just maintain relationships/stop decay - and not increasing - so hopefully you can figure that aspect out!

I have tested the mod and it seems to stay constant for 3 nights.

EDIT: Just enable `noDecrease` and `noIncrease`

EDIT2: The current version I just released does not decrease the hearts, I apparently misjudged the stats.
