    can someone tell me why my game crashes when i try to sleep on the last day of fall to get to the first day of winter? and how to fix it?

        So uh, my game keeps crashing for seemingly random reasons, I was reading the console and it said to post here and post a file as well.

        Honestly I have know idea as to what's going on, but if someone could help me out, that'd be great.

          I've got an idea for potential future updates; finding characters can be kind of a pain when tabbing between the wiki and the game. So, what about a character tracker / locator on the map? Just a little overlay of their heads indicating where they are - or, in the relationships list on the menu, a small note of where they're at written beneath the hearts or something!

            There's Npc Map Locations that does this. It shows the NPC's current location to the Host, but because of MP sync, it doesn't work on Multiplayer games.

              Re-tested in a completely vanilla game. Just as when loading no mods with SMAPI, there were no crashes.

                I have a "little" crash. Multiplayer and it's when we go to bed. We dont know what's triggering it. Maybe someone can help? :D

                Edit: It looks like, if i play the day alone, its not crashing.:nope:

                  Hey everyone,
                  as we wanted to run our freshmade savegame from about 1 week ago, we found that Smapi now completely crashes the game when trying to either host a savefile or even start a new game.
                  As mods we only use Smapi itself, ImmersiveFarm 2 and Contentpatcher. The console skips ConsoleCommands while loading the game in smapi.
                  We starting up a game, it throws an error in the update loop.
                  The vanilla game tho works completely fine.
                  If anyone could find a solution for this we´d be very grateful :).

                          Me and my friends crash when we sleep too. Have you guys been using the kitchen at all? What happens to us is when a specific person cooks a dish, for some reason or another it makes us crash. I have edited the game files a bit to make it so I can play with 6 people in a server so that may be something too, but I don't know why that would prevent someone from cooking a dish.

                              Hello! I'm playing beta SDV with beta.14 SMAPI. I can play just fine, but SMAPI is telling me [Save Backup] Mod crashed on entry and might not work correctly. This is my first time using SMAPI at all, so I'm not sure what's caused by SDV's beta or not. I apologize for my ignorance!

                                  SMAPI and several mods use the console for debugging purposes/as part of the mod, so closing the console would negatively impact them. It would also likely require reworking SMAPI to do that, as currently closing the console closes the game.

                                  Is there some reason you can't just minimize it, or ignore it?

                                    You're missing one of the game files (specifically Content\Maps\winter_outdoorsTileSheet.xnb). You can reset your content files to fix that.

                                    You can update to SMAPI 2.6 beta 14 to fix that.

                                    That's fixed in the next SMAPI beta. You can ignore it for now, it won't affect anything else. :)

                                    Nope, that console is SMAPI which is what's running the game (which is why closing the console also closes the game).

                                      Summary of reported cases:
                                      • CabooseCXV (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer when going to bed.
                                      • Eskimorotica (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer when going to bed, or selling a stack of items to Pierre.
                                      • jker210 (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer when going to bed. Possibly happens when a specific person cooks a dish. Edited the game files to allow 6 players.
                                      • kizucha (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer when going to bed. Doesn't happen if they play alone.
                                      • Mattman (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer after playing for a while and then leaving a building.
                                      • Nemo Armstrong (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer when going to bed, before skill or shipping screens. Host of forest farm. Crashes on the night the barn was finished and next day. On day of first crash: farmhand + host leveled up, sold items to Pierre, harvested/refilled kegs and preserves jars. Repeating the day didn't cause crash (both repeating everything and going straight to bed), but next day crashes consistently. Doesn't happen when no farmhands are connected. Still happens with no mods (except SMAPI) installed. Avoiding all sales avoids night crash.
                                      • Tiffosaur (log): 1.3.11 / beta 14. Crashes in multiplayer when going to bed.
