Tool SMAPI: Stardew Modding API

First time here. Smapi told me to go here. My game has had multiple crashes after this past stardew update.

 

They're saying to wait for a SMAPI update

 

Of course SMAPI breaks on my day off.

 

Yeah I have no idea lol. Sorry.

 

I'm glad I came here and read that people are crashing. I completely uninstalled my game, verified my files, all that and nothing fixed it. I'll just sit here patiently and wait then

 

I'm sorta in the same boat as you . Spent an hour testing out different mods trying to see what was messing it up.

 

So my friend first experienced the bug and when I went to do it myself. At first we thought it was the mods causing the crash but after even completely removing all the mods even the ones included with SMAPI it still caused the game to crash. I'll upload my smapi log with the mods I used, I already pulled the mods that were marked outdated. Relieved to know that everyone is experiencing the same issue. I also verified my content folder with steam to make sure nothing was corrupted. I'll play vanilla until things are in order again. I look forward to the progress

 

Your issue is just like everyone else who has posted. The latest game update changed some game fields. That broke SMAPI. Pathos is aware of the problem, but currently at work. It will be fixed as soon as he can get to it.

• Fixed compatibility issue on Windows for certain mods compiled on Linux/Mac.
• Fixed bundled SaveBackup mod replacing Omegasis' SaveBackup mod. (That mod now gets renamed to AdvancedSaveBackup per discussion with Omegasis.)
• Fixed bundled SaveBackup mod including unnecessary files.

 

Hello I was sent here by the crash window for SMAPI. I just recently tried updating SMAPI to the newest beta that came out earlier this week I installed it and now my game file wont load. It told me to attach crash report so i did so. Please help. its not just that one save file its any game i try to start. it will do cut scenes for grandpa but when the game actually begins it crashes. thank you.

SMAPI was updated 20 minutes before you posted. Grab the newest one and reinstall Smapi.

 

Pinging everyone who reported the crash: it's fixed in the latest SMAPI 2.6 beta 14! Some mods will need their own update too though.
