so im having a crash, and im not sure if its the plants that im planting or what. im not really sure how to read this error that it throws. the game crashes when i go to sleep after planting a bunch of melons added by another mod. the crash log is here. would love some input.

 

@Tithonius Looks like an error in PyTK; you can report it to the author on its mod page. Here's the parsed log link you can share.

Hey there, I am having a problem with my game crashing whenever I go to sleep from Fall 26th to Fall 27th. I have just updated SMAPI to 2.4 this evening and I will update the mods that the report says have updates but I had the problem even before I updated SMAPI. I am getting frustrated because I am playing the same day over and over and I cannot really think of a reason why. When it first started happening yesterday, I was able to play the game just fine for quite a while and then it just started crashing. Here is my SMAPI log. (I posted this in a thread that sounded similar already but I wanted to try posting it here since the error log looks like the problem is with SMAPI itself)

@randomlybookish Can you try it again once your mods are updated, and post a fresh log?

 

I am having problems installing SMAPI on a mac. I have installed Mono and it works but when I try running install.exe the terminal says it can't execute binary file. Thanks

@randomlybookish That error doesn't provide much info, so we'll need to narrow it down. Does it still happen if you temporarily remove all your mods (but keep SMAPI itself)?

My game worked perfectly fine earlier, but after I had played it about 20 minutes, The SMAPI stop working.
I had tried a lot of ways. Sometimes it works and i can play the game for a longer time. but it always stop working again.
Can you help me please?

Hi @ziyue. It looks like an issue with your computer memory. I suggest running memtest to check for RAM issues.

 

Yes, of course. I tried playing a day without any mods and it crashed out again. Sorry for the delay it was my mother's birthday today and I only just got online. Here is the new log.

@randomlybookish Last test: can you reset your content files and see if it still happens?

 

That seems to have fixed it. Now I'm going to readd all my mods back in and try to figure out what XNB killed the file for a bit. I have a hunch although when I tried to remove it before and return to the original XNB the game was still broken even though all the other ones I used for months without the game breaking. Thank you for all your help. This whole thing was bizarre but at least my farmer was actually able to save the day's progress on Fall 26 and not just go through Groundhog day over and over lmao.

 

@Pathoschild Concerning the beta3 SMAPI. Just thought you should know i may have found a slight bug. I updated to the beta part and also Entoarox Framework Beta, and one of them caused the "E" letter to close out the chests when naming them using Chests Anywhere. When I rolled both of them back to the stable versions they worked as normal. I'm honestly thinking its the SMAPI since the Framework isn't needed for the Chests Anywhere mod. if you want I can try reinstalling the beta version of SMAPI and testing just it to see if it does the same thing.

Hey, Thanks for the heads up @Pathoschild I went ahead and have posted on the Github, the Forum for PYTK as well as the mod page, and havent gotten a single look as to what is going on. the game is really unplayable at this point. is there any way that you could take a look and see if its a mod that i have that is clashing with another mod or somthing? or is it actually a PYTK bug that I have to wait for them to fix? I will post all 3 links to the crashes, as my game wont let me sleep and save, and ive just got dont doing the same day over again for the third time and im really getting frustrated with whats happenning. the game wasnt doing this when i first started modding it so it really feels to me like i have a mod that isnt cooperating properly. could you, or anyone else here, please help? im really desperate for a fix right now. if i have to wait for PYTK then i have to wait for PYTK, but i really hope that isnt the case.

and i dont know if it will help, but i was using Stardew Mod Manager, and in my crash report folder i found this file,

I think the reason for this last file here is because im using the GOG release of the game, and this mod (or somthing) seems to be looking for a steamapps folder.

But like i said, any and all input is really welcome, as i am desperate to be able to get back to playing. Thanks for the help guys

If it helps at all my modlist is as follows. Im not sure if all of these are compatable, but if someone sees somthing that doesnt work, then just tell me, as it could be part of the problem. I dont think anything is wildly incompatable as i have been playing this pack for a while until this issue started happenning with me sleeping. I have made a few changes here and there, but i havent really done anything drastic.
