Mine doesn't stop but it does do a weird a flicker like it's wanting to stop when I load up a save file. But hasn't crashed yet. I wonder if the more pets takes more ram or something? I have a older laptop from 2009 windows 7 for my games.

You go into the config file that is generated after the first time you run the game with the mod installed. Ah, yeah, pets adopted through MorePets have actual ages build into them, so that MorePets can see if a pet has been adopted on a certain day. I never really considered that this might cause them to show up on the calendar.... Let me see if I can move that data to another property so that stardew doesnt get confused.
Strange. I tested it with "more pets" in my folder -> right click in menu -> game closes itself. "More pets" taken out of the mod folder -> right click in menu -> all works just fine. Maybe there are conflicts with another mod. I'll try I can figure it out

Please vote, this affects the future of MorePets: http://www.strawpoll.me/11461066 Currently I am doing some massive hacks to make the MorePets box work, but it has some flaws, by depending on EntoFramework not only can I get rid of the hacks, I can make the box work without those flaws.
I downloaded More Pets and installed via Stardew Valley Package Manager. Seemed to have no errors for it but I cannot seem to adopt a pet. I get the dialog and I said Yes, I wanted to adopt, but they do not show on my farm and right away the pop up occurs about adopting the same cat, I click yes and still no cat. Any ideas? Edit: I actually found the issue, I use an Xbox 360 controller and when I go to adopt with the controller, it doesn't function with the buttons, but it does work when I use the mouse/keyboard only option.
Had another bug too, the calendar. After I adopted I went to look at the calendar by Pierre's and I got a CTD. Started again tried it again, and this time I did glimpse the calendar and my new pet was on the calendar, then it CTD. I know earlier there was a "glitch" but I did get the latest version a couple posts up. Did that include the fix for the Birthday's?

Just fixed that one, unfortunately is not backwards compatible so old pets will still glitch. You can use the `kill_pets` command to kill any previously adopted pets in order to fix that, even if it isnt the nicest way to "fix" it
Oh nice now I can finally have my catte (i wonder how many pets it takes to crash the game ala dorf fort...)
Quite a few, despite that, the default configuration means that it becomes increasingly rare for new pets to be available.
