Oh, I thought really old SMAPI mods were incompatible with the current version of SMAPI. Never mind. After hours of fishing, I was able to catch two of the same legendary fish. So the mod works. Thanks for your help anyway.

 

It depends on what the mod does, and how much the mod does, small and simply mods are less likely to break then big and complex mods.

 

Okay, I have another request and I know for sure this mod no longer works.

It's Fishing Tuner by Hammurabi. The author hasn't been online since July 2016.

When you start the game, SMAPI shoots out an error on the console and the mod deactivates. I know the mod is similar to Zoryn4163's Fishing Mod, but this mod has more features than Zoryn's mod.

Please post the log with the error, a quick overview of the source does not show anything obvious that could have been broken.

 

I am a code-focussed modder, adding new crops and trees takes someone with spriting skills, something I am not good at

I took out all my other mods so the only mod that was installed was the Fishing Tuner Mod.

The mod apparently uses a old API that @Pathoschild has removed from SMAPI, I need to confirm with him first that this was intentional, and not something he did because he believed nobody used that API in the first place

Edit: The API has been removed intentionally, the mod would have to be rewritten in order to continue functioning, I will add it to the list, but I am quite busy so it might take a while before I can get to it.

 

Updated version of `SMAPI Sprinkler Mod` for SMAPI 1.2 and newer has been released, the old version is still up for download for now, for people who havent moved to SMAPI 1.2 yet.

 

CJB Cheats Menu's in-game config doesn't seem to work properly, when I try and change the controls for "Grow Crops" it changes back to what it was before which is an issue for me since the default is a numpad button (I don't have a numpad), changing the setting in the config file manually works but I just thought I should let you know.

The log does not report any errors.

I am using Linux - Kali Rolling (v2016.3.1) if that makes any difference.

 

Hmmm, looks like @Pathoschild Accidentally broke the old config system... I will release updated versions of all the mods once 1.3 is out of beta, I do not want to update now and then have to change things again if the way things are currently handled turns out not to work.

@EnderHDMC: the settings work fine for me on Linux; when I change a setting in-game, the config.json is updated immediately. Can you send me a zip of your entire mods folder?

 

To request a mod for patching it has to match these basic requirements:

• The author has not been online for at least 2 months
• The mod is a SMAPI mod
• The author does not explicitly prohibit people taking care of their mods while they are away
• No already updated mod or mods provide what is essentially the same functionality

The mod you requested does not fit the requirements and thus has been denied for being given a home.

@Pathoschild: Here is my mod folder.

All the other settings work (I can change them in-game) it is just that one setting that doesn't change in-game if I change the config file manually it does work.

By the way, the "Test" mod in there is the one that I'm trying to just play around with (Following the canimod tutorial) and I would like to know if anyone knows anywhere with other examples or any open-source mods that I can take a look at.

 

@EnderHDMC: This looks like a problem with the mod code. The other control settings save correctly, but changes to the "grow crops" setting aren't saved at all. I don't have the source code, but it should be fairly straightforward for @Entoarox to fix since he does.

Here are a few open-source mods: ChestsAnywhere, Debug Mode, LookupAnything, Makeshift Multiplayer, NPC Map Locations, and Skip Intro. You can also sort through C# search results for "Stardew" on GitHub.

@EnderHDMC: in the meantime, you can edit the config.json file directly to set the key you want (see valid key values).

 

I just looked it up, and you are right, the Grow Crops keybind is not being handled strangely enough, weird that CJB never fixed the issue, since it is quite a old cheat :S
For now I am not going to release a fix, I will bundle it in with the 1.3 update.
