I think death system is boring. But it is boring for me(hardcore player) and great for casual players. Some serious changes will make game harder and less fun for casual players and this is bad. But what if we add bonuses for NOT dying? Death resets hunger meter and some people even use death as a fast food. What if every 1hr(for example) we get random bonus from living and we MUST survive and use food to keep all of this cool stuff. After 10hr our character is priceless and death is really punishing, but casuals will have "fastfood" deaths
Sounds good. I think it would be best if player got cloning sickness or something after respawn, that last 5-15 ins. Also money penalty would 10%-40% depending on how long we had survived.
No. Your "bonus" for living long is not losing pixels and being able to do stuff longer without having to respawn. Death is suppose to have a negative impact but surviving is its own positive impact. I can understand as a hardcore where you are coming from but as a casual (saying that with 30 hours already in the game ) I don't want to be rewarded for playing smart. Surviving is reward upon itself for me and I do not need handouts saying "Good job, here is X for not dieing.". For a hardcore player, they should add a hardcore mode. The game is already lenient and casual enough, it does not need to reward you anymore than it already does. I honestly can not support this idea :S
The bonus for longer life should only add up while moving around. just like how I think hunger shouldn't go down while standing still, the longer life bonus shouldn't go up while standing still.
