I highly doubt that it would screw with the code very much. AFAIK it would be incredibly easy to implement, the only difficulty being that the currently existing hair styles might have to change just a little bit. Side Note: I've been working on pixel art for armor and clothing for a race suggestion I'll be doing, and It bugs me not knowing exactly how the layers interact, including the back-item layer. It seems like the Human and Apex beards also have their own layer because they go over some of their clothing items, but I'm not sure...
They would have to implement this to cause Apex female hair 20 to work. Either way, this might already be the case in the in-game editor.
Awesome idea. What I wouldn't give to have badass, silver Sephiroth bangs to go murk people up in Starbound with my unreasonably long sword. So much yes. EDIT: I suppose it's also worth mentioning that long hairstyles that aren't innately feminine would be nice too... seeing as though I'm not a chick. (curly/rose petals/ext)
There are innately feminine hairstyles? I wasn't aware that long, curly hair with rose petals, etc... was innately feminine, I always thought we made those judgements. LOL Although I suppose I did always think Sephiroth was a girl in FFVII-- It explains why Cloud was so eager to cross dress, bringing out his inner clone.
I think this idea is great anything that makes character creation as personal and unique as possible. More hair styles just means i can spend a longer time in charry creation.
