I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. It may only apply to my computer but when I play starbound, the monsters and arrows will sometimes move extremely slow compared to what they are supposed to. It doesn't always apply to my in-game character and more often not. In fact often I'll be going full speed, but i'll see the arrows and monsters jumping slowly through the air.

This doesn't always happen though, there are times when the game will run smoothly at a good 60 Fps.
I had a similar problem on the game The Binding of Issac but I managed to fix it by updating drivers I think, (It was complicated).
Has anyone else had the same problem and/or fixed it?

Show us Diagnostic's output, and in the meantime just hang tight. Angry introduced some unexpected lag, presumably as a result of the new weather system.

Disabling the Steam overlay may improve render performance.

Alright, then basically the only thing that Diagnostic is suggesting is to disable the Steam Overlay. (This works because the D3D hook is so poorly written that it takes up a respectable chunk of Starbound's ability to do things.

right click the steam icon on the taskbar (the blue thing on the bottom) and click settings. Then go to in-game and unmark the checkbox for steam overlay.
EDIT: and by overlay I mean steam community in game :)

Thanks it did help. I didn't notice any of the monsters or the world slowing down. However i did see arrows going at inconsistent speeds like taking forever to fall to the ground, but I think thats just how the game was processed. Gravity may factor as well, didn't think about that.
