How about there is a tool that can slice an Alien Creature, but doesn't make the body go poof, until it is used? That usage I am talking about is using the Alien's body as a Dead Tauntaun from Star Wars. As a means to warm yourself up when it is freezing in the game world. One you leave the Monster's body then it could disappear, however it would not drop pixels as it has found it's use in another possible way. Just my two cents inspired from watching "Code Monkeys"
