Well, now it seems to be pretty much exactly what I wanted with the new head mods and the optionals. Now, there is only one more bug to iron out (that I can see so far, anyway): There is a rogue pixel that is the wrong colour and doesn't change colours with the rest of the chassis in the legs of one of the male Glitch idle stances. You can see it in the 1.3 preview, actually.

You aren't supposed to put that folder in your mods folder, but the folder one layer deeper with the name of the mod (Sleek Glitch Chassis) which contains the .modinfo file.

If this mod is called Sleeker Glitch Chassis, why does it default to having a modified head regardless? I'd like just a chassis redesign so I can use the Starface Glitch head... might I suggest making multiple optional files instead of one or two? Also, the file organization could use a change.

    Something along the lines of...

    Sleeker Glitch Chassis.zip
-> SGC MK1 (replacer mod folder for no head)
-> SGC MK2 (replacer mod folder with head but no head mods)
-> SGC MK3 (replacer mod folder with head mods)
-> SGC MK4 (standalone mod folder)

I feel like that file structure would be more confusing, honestly. I do agree that the folder structure could stand to be reworked, but in my opinion all that needs to be done is placing the Optionals, Replacer and Standalone folders directly in the zip and not in a folder in the zip, to reduce likelihood of installing the wrong folder to the mods folder. Maybe include an install instructions text file for good measure.

And the author doesn't have to include that as an optional, because it should be super easy to jury rig cross-mod compatibility like that yourself with even only minimal knowledge of how to work computers. Just replace the head and/or hair files in the Sleek Glitch Chassis folder with the head and/or hair files from that mod and you should be good to go.

    I found another issue.

The body needs another row of "detail" pixels for the neck, because the Glitch appear to have slightly floating heads. In fact, now that I've noticed that issue, I think I can even see that happening for the male Glitch in the 1.3 preview image.

Edit: Came back after trying the suggested fix for myself, and while it works, it may or may not look better to add a row of "detail" pixels for the neck to the bottom of the head files instead. ...And would also be easier to do. Will try that instead and see if it looks better.

Edit 2: Yeah, I think that adding the neck pixels to the head works better. But I'll leave it up to you, for the fixed version of the mod you'll hopefully make.

Go to \Sleek Glitch Chassis\humanoid\glitch and delete femalehead.png and malehead.png, that will give you the Starface Glitch heads. It's a pretty easy fix, but I can put in a version without the new heads if you really want.

    Will fix.

You can actually see this on all the vanilla races occasionally, it's an issue with Starbound itself. I'll fiddle with some things and see if I can't make it less noticeable though.

I know how to do that, considering I have a compilation mod specifically designed for combining various "Character Improvement" mods. I just thought it should be a basic feature of the mod as well.

Are you renaming the rar file you are uploading before you upload it? I downloaded the "latest" version and got version 1.3...

Yes I'm updating the archive name every update, it should be v1.4.1. The download works fine for me, but this site is really screwy with the downloads sometimes. I guess I'll have to re-submit it yet again.

You can use the replacer version is multiplayer, just like any other character improvement mod that only changes png files.[DOUBLEPOST=1449248123][/DOUBLEPOST]Another thing... why does the vanilla no head replacer replace hair files? :p
