Did you guys know that Showdown has other servers? http://frost.psim.us/ http://pandora.psim.us/ @LadyPandora lol http://thesoraleague.psim.us
Well, I know which one I'm going to be frequenting from now on. Frost, obviously. And it's @Pandora, doofus.
Less users has its upsides and downsides. I was thinking we could hijack the ones with no users hehehe. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-115725214
My first battle on Frost! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/frost-randombattle-440449 You would think Azumarill would have Play Rough instead of Superpower, but doesn't matter I guess. Also, that Freeze totally saved me.
Just wanted to announce that PokeBattle will begin its public beta tomorrow. That means any of you who didn't get in before can try it out now (well, tomorrow). @Axe Garian I'm looking at you. Our rivalry cannot be contained in a single simulator.
So, I am actually starting to work on that campaign for PTU that I mentioned a while back, starting with proofreading a template character sheet on Google Drive so that it can sorta streamline things or you guys. Time to look through all 600+ moves and 749 pokemon to see what's incorrect... Also, here, I have a basic guideline for making a character for this particular campaign, if you want to take the time to fiddle around before I release the character sheet. http://www.myth-weavers.com/game.php?g=19439 Edit: I feel like strangling whoever made this version of the character sheet right now, because it's freaking moronic how they were lazy and made moves' categories dependent on other moves' categories. It sure makes my job a lot more annoying.
PokeBattle Open Beta is now open, & i've gotten on it & tried it with KS. Initial Impression: It has promise. I'm also amused that PokeBattle might have (from my point of view) beaten the other 2 Simulators to getting the Shiny Goodra Sprites Implemented.
Oops, should be all better now. I thought setting it to private would still let me link the page, but apparently not. Oh yeah, about the whole Eevee thing (since I think most people will probably want to go for Eevee): while you may certainly be able to evolve Eevee with the appropriate evolutionary stones, as the GM I also have a house rule that I can spontaneously evolve any Eevee, given the right circumstances. So caviat emptor.
Yay I can be a Ninja! Also guys, Mudkip is Bestkip. I expect everyone to start with one, no exceptions.
Oooh, this is for us! I think I may try this out. Let's see here... I guess we have to use one of the game starters huh? I was initially wondering about starting with Caterpie, but given the scenario you've provided, it makes sense we would use the game starters. Maybe I should take another gander at that handbook again so I actually know what I'm getting into. Is this it? How dare anybody question you on this. Mudkip is the greatest starter in Pokemon history. Do I need to give this speal again? That being said, I'm not sure I would go with Mudkip if you're going with him. I almost feel like pulling off the classic rival tactic and going with a Grass type. Which one to choose though... Snivy definitely has personality, but Treecko has an arguably better one. Wheras Snivy has a posh stuck-up attitude, Treecko is this cool, calm, and collected BAMF. Treecko is the kind of Pokemon who'd walk into a saloon and all the punk-ass criminal Pokemon like Poochyena would give him one look and be like, "Damn, we best get outta here". I'm not saying all Poochyena are cowardly scoundrels, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me. EDIT: Of course I made my entire post a link to the god damn handbook. I bet you enjoyed that, Wox.
