Is Pokebattle down for anyone else?

 

Nah, it seems to be down.

 

PokeBattle seems to be down period pending some kinda rework something or other.

 

Is Pokken out or..? Wasn't it to be released soonish?

 

It released to arcades a few weeks ago according to Serebii (July 16th 2015). Dunno what's happened news-wise since then though.

 

It's still in paid beta in Japan. Basic stuff for fighting games.

 

To be more precise, location testing, which is somewhat like a paid beta but also not. The game doesn't exactly have to be beta; it could be completely finished, but its generally not the full release. It's a process they use to check interest in the areas they're testing in.

More so Japanese arcade games in general. For example, DanceDanceRevolution and any other Konami rhythm game has had location tests before release. I don't even get why Konami has to do location tests for Beatmania IIDX in Japan, they know it'll sell fine for ages.

Or, you know, Quick attack. It's actually kind of strange that Electric doesn't have a priority move. I mean, it's probably for balance reasons, but those guys are all about speed...

Fully agreed, & furthermore I don't see how Balance could be a problem for a Type that can Super Effective on only 2 of the 17 Types in the game & only 2 Pokemon of note in the game are double weak to Electric & only one of those 2 are commonish... yet there's more relevant double weak to Ice Pokes & Ice Super Effective's 5 Typings in the game, yet Ice got to get a Priority Move. Ice... one of if not the slowest Element imaginable... Bout the only slower Element I can imagine is Psychic... & at that ONLY when it's powered by a Slowpoke Brain. Even Rocks have more potential for speed. Yet Electric was left out in the cold for Priority power... (Shameless Incredibly Lame Pun. )

Edit: I have found out that Monday Morning i'm going to the Old House with Dad for the week, then also going with him to montana for a day or 2 afterwards with Dad's (cool & nice) Work Bosses. Lookin like i'll be gone at least a week.
