Am I the only one terrified that Mega Rayquaza will not have any moves be super effective against it? Not even ice, if the wording is correct?
From what I understand the ability only negates Flying type weaknesses, so I think Dragon and Fairy will still be super effective.
Oh yeah, I guess that's true. Still, it basically nullifies what advantage Rock and Ice had on it, and I can imagine how useful it might be in doubles and triples.
Dunno if I want to face you. You're the kind of guy who'd embarrass me by beating me with my own character. You actually use the L and R buttons? I'm so screwed. Gonna have to practice up as soon as I can download it in about 20 odd minutes or so. While the Mega Rayquaza is exciting and all, it would appear you all have missed the most exciting news of all. There's an exciting new Wi-Fi distribution that just began, so be sure not to miss it!
Damn, that does change things quite a bit. Not sure what Game Freak was thinking with that decision... I'm going to relish your defeat when we Smash later.
Oh. I thought you were just being a slowpoke, hadn't been paying any attention to recent posts, and posted the same thing as the others.
That nature tho. I'll get it and try to make it competitive I guess, the Gorgeist tournament sounds nice. *cough* Talonflame loses 4x weakness to rock and resists ice. *cough* A doubles team with Mequaza and 5 flying types is an idea.
No, I think by the wording, it would mean that it only loses its 4x weakness. Ice would just be Normal damage (as usual for Talonflame).
That is what I said tho. Fire resists Ice so if flying typing were out of the picture (say after roost) it would resist.
That feeling when your quote gets messed up. I haven't been pokemoning a lot recently. I need new ideas for teams, the feeling of using the same team over and over again ain't nice, even if it's filled with my bros.
No, what the ability specifically says is that any move that would be super effective on a Flying-Type pokemon would only deal normal damage to any Flying-Type pokemon. If it's taken word for word, it means that no matter what type combination a pokemon is, if it's Flying type and it is hit by an Electric, Ice, or Rock move, then the move is automatically set to normal damage, ignoring any type interactions.
When I get stuck for ideas, I try going to Serebii & try looking at outta the way stuff, like not often seen Abilities in use, (Ex: This is how I got my idea for trying my Smash Pass Water Veil Huntail... after I got curious about if there were any viable Water Veil Pokes for burn immune non-fire type physical pokes.) less used pokes, (Ex: KS's successful Mad Pokescience Arcanine) & can even try leaving your comfort zone & try out Pokes ya never have before. (Ex: My Sun Team Leafeon, Rue. ) Hope this helped. Edit: Hey, Cas got to talk to me for a bit this morning despite his Internet still being shit cause he said he got to borrow his Girlfriend's Internet for a bit. He has alerted me to a free but short Steam Game called "The Plan" where ya play a Fly who is angry at his God... & at his own short pointless existence. I dunno if I really have what it takes to be a Fly, but it was free so I got it DLed & can give it a try sometime or other. Also, I've caught Warlock & all its stuff for sale 75% off on Steam, so those of ya loving Warlock like I am, ya can get all its DLC for just a bit over $3! Jump on it while ya can, I dunno when it'll end!
He's good, but we'll find out soon enough whether a Pikachu will take you down or not. I've been stupidly busy recently, so while I'd love to get started on that list of you folks who are out for Pika-blood, I kind of need to stay on top of the schooling I begrudgingly require. Was also hoping to have my grip in time for Smash... but it's still a no-show. Looks like I'm stuck playing for half an hour at a time, though I suppose it wouldn't take me that long to defeat all of you. Anyways, I'll be sure to let you all know when it is time. I've been testing out the cast, and thus far, Little Mac has to be my favourite newcomer to play as. This is coming from the guy who was actually hyped about the Wii Fit Trainer (who is enjoyable in their own right). It also helps that Little Mac is just stupidly good (on level ground). He's bad in the air, but I didn't realize how bad he would be in the moving stages as well. If you fall off a platform, you're basically screwed. The fact that he has no air game at all and is STILL fun to play is a true testament. I can't get over how zippy he is while hitting so freaking hard.
[REDACTED BECAUSE SPOILER] is the best character. Freaking rek all as him. Some of the time. Dark Pit
