Me and Axe just did a few random battles. Here's one of my few wins, with Milotic! I love Milotic. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/randombattle-141962634
I concede. Perhaps ya do have a good point. I'm not about to stop usin the moves, but I will condone it if OR/AS does something about this. On a related note, my sorry excuse for reasoning skills like in my Post above is the kinda thing that's the reason why i'd never make a good Wizard or any kinda Spellcaster at all. Yep, I screwed up that battle so bad. I coulda done so much better on it...
Progress update: EVERYONE HAS MAGNEMITE EVERYONE. Training my aron for Wattson was hell. I spammed mudslap. Spammed it. I needed to not use it though so I could save it for the gym. But magnemites. And I have nothing else to harm them with. Eventually my aron faints, so I have to use the pokemon center, and then I realized I had an ether after training it some more. So I finally fight wattson, goes good. BUT THEN HIS MAGNETON. It can instakill every party member I have besides grovyle with shock wave, but grovyle only does what I think is one damage to it. So eventually it hits low hp, and then shock wave kills aron and I lose. And I realize there is literally nothing I can do. I can train against level 12s to get to what, say level 25 would be my comfort zone? But I don't have the patience for that, but I literally cannot do anything about shock wave since it always hits. So no clue if I'll even progress at all, but we'll see I guess. EDIT: Not even 25 works. Sooooooo 32 to get lairon...? My team is incredibly unbalanced especially since I can hardly train anything before they get poisoned or paralyzed so then that means a trip to buy stuff to fix that with money I don't have ._.
Cute, but not my style to do myself personally. Edit: WOOT!!! Whatever dumbassery was going on with Showdown Accounts that cut me off from my Account seems to have been fixed! I've re-gained access to my Showdown Account again! Even better, Team Building & Tweaking I did during my Account downtime is still saved & well. (Now maybe i'll only kick Showdown itself in the Shins, instead of the ass when i'm angry.)
Progress update: Grinding, Poison, Boredom, Oh my! On another note, I'm surprised nobody mentioned this yet. Maybe I'm the only one here who would care even (or I missed someone posting it) but orchestral concert of pokémon music, seems pretty neat. I might (probably won't) go to the one in Philadelphia.
I've already seen it, but I don't really care about it tbh. pokemon music is not something I would actually go to a concert for (But then again, I don't do concerts to begin with. Waste of money imho.)
Things have been kind of messed up for me this past week, and it looks like it will take up much of this week too. Anyways, while I was out taking care of some business, I saw something that made my freakin' day. It's so stupid but I love it. Ring of Fire for a Fire-based hazard that burns the opponent upon switching in. Fire-Types upon switch-in both remove the hazard and gain a Flash Fire boost for the duration of their time in the field. I'm surprised we haven't see some sort of quick sand trap. I have a few ideas about how it would work, but nothing that I really like at the moment.
Yessss... Good idea. Hazards with drawbacks. I say, give the existing ones drawbacks, too. Spikes and Toxic Spikes already have enough, so how about we make it so Rock Types can absorb Stealth rock and get, I dunno, a speed buff? would make them both more attractive and Stealth rocks less braindead.
I'd be totally cool with Rock Types absorbing Stealth Rocks on entry, even if that Rock Type's also a Flying Type or Levitater. Rock Types need more reason to exist, it's sad that Rock is literally defensively weak & so hard to justify putting onto a team... the poor dudes need more high accuracy attacks too so Rock Damage can actually be easier to inflict. Maybe on entry, the Rock Type could absorb the Rocks into itself healing itself for the same amount they woulda got from a single Leftovers Heal tick...? (Rock re-enforcing itself with more rocks.) *Hides thoughts of boosting usefulness of Aerodactyl & Archeops for own selfish desire behind my back* As for the 'Ring of Fire', imho the Fire Poke should absorb it just cause they're a Fire Type, but they should get a Flash Fire effect only if they have the actual Flash Fire Ability. Plus, I wonder if Ring of Fire could make it nigh impossible for non-Fire physical pokes to compete in the Meta or not... i'd have to test it before I could make a call on that one. Actually, maybe instead of burning on switch in, it'd trap non-fire pokes & prevent them from bein able to switch out Shadow Tag style, except only for a certain number of turns before switching out became doable again, kinda like a auto-Fire Spin that's not inaccurate & pokes that resist fire would be trapped for less turns then pokes that take normal damage or are weak to it. Food for thought? Even as is, having a Will-O-Wisper on your team can already murder your foe's physical damage presence as is... auto-burning on switch might be too powerful. When I hear Quicksand, I imagine a Ground Type Whirlpool-like move. Not like those kinda moves can pull much weight as is. Might as well stick with Infestation for that kinda need... good ol' 100% Acc. Edit: I just noticed Click's Steam Name flagging tomorrow as of the time of this Edit as his Birthday... so, as an act of distrust to my Memory, i'm gonna play it safe & say "Happy Birthday tomorrow Clickers!" Then if I do manage to remember it tomorrow too, I can do it again properly too. Also, Novakid Implementation has begun & they're gonna get to be able to craft Guns from the start! I'm sticking this here mainly for KS who's been damn busy irl lately & might miss this info, but it's also for anyone here who is having trouble following development lately. *I'm gonna be staying with Glitch cause they & I are just plain flat out peas in a pod... but having allies with me starting out with guns will be good for our Battlegroup Balance imho. I can love me my Axes all I want, but Warrior Wisdom has no choice but to acknowledge that no single weapon type can pwn all, sadly Axes are no exception.*
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/customgame-144589560 Me and Mermer had a themed battle with the theme being Pokemon Adventures characters. Mermer being the person he is chose Black because of Reshiram. I chose Red (though I would've chose Yellow if he picked someone else). No longer will he disrespect the king of Gen I.
I am actually a big fan of Archeops myself. Now if only it wasn't so underwhelming. Also, Ring of Fire suggestion: Do a set amount of dmg (12,5% or so) and only burn if the enemy is weak to it.
Woot! Braviary! Why doesn't my Braviary's Defiant ever get to pull weight? Woot! Wish ya coulda checked out Archeops in Gen 5 PO Battle... In the SLCFR Mod, we gave Archeops Unburden to combo with Flying Gem + Acrobatics, & he STILL couldn't do a whole lot but he was at least useable... He coulda rocked like he shoulda as a Rock Type, except KS tended to have Aqua Jet & Ice Shard on just about EVERY team he ever had back then. Archeops should get Unburden at least as his HA in the future. Hey, I like the sound of that.
Fairy Circle: traps opponents, and pokemon weak to Fairy type suffer a speed debuff? Switching in a Fairy type clears the hazard. Maybe this is a little strong.
How would you switch when you're trapped? Besides, this would basically force you to use a fairy type. Nononono. It's bad enough that Stealth rock already limits your choice of pokemon, we don't need to be forced to bring a single type.
Well, "switch in" includes after a KO, and Baton Pass/Volt Switch/U-Turn bypasses trapped statuses too, not to mention that Ghost types can't be trapped. It's basically the same drawback as a Toxic Spikes. And Rapid Spin and Defog get rid of hazards anyway. Also, hazards only take effect after another pokemon is switched in (e.g. pokemon don't get hurt immediately when Spikes are placed, they're not poisoned when Toxic Spikes are placed), so it's not that big a stretch. Probably not helping the whole Hazards OP situation, though.
