So i completely forgot i was even trying to make a mod in the first place, here is the species file for you to look at. I changed the file extension to .txt so i can actually upload it here.

Purely a guess I wonder if "title" : "Lightkin", I wonder if that needs to be all lowercase (if title even DOES anything)

Tbh I would grab a fresh species file and transfer information over and test it as you go.
