Bug/Issue Skipping cut scenes also skips rewards. (PS4)

Just discovered that if you skip cut scenes, you also miss out on the rewards given during those scenes.

In this case, it was Evelyn's 4 heart event cut scene, in which she teaches you how to make Cookies. If you choose to skip the scene, you will not get the recipe -- thus preventing the ability to gain several trophies. If a player is 70 or 80 hours in and manages to break a trophy run like this, that can be incredibly frustrating.

I don't know if this is an intentional design decision or a bug, but it's definitely an issue that needs to be addressed, preferably by either allowing the reward to be given even if you skip the cut scene, or by making reward cut scenes unskippable.

 

Is a bug that the Devs so far is not able to fix.
The only solution is save editing on PC.
Console users are left in the dust right now.

 

I'm not sure how they can fix this if they allow skipping - in Evelyn's example, I'm pretty sure you don't get the recipe if you answer her question in a certain way. It seems like the solution would have to be preventing skipping on events that ask questions which result in different outcomes.

 

There are other un-skippable cut scenes in the game, so it seems like the simple solution would be to make all cut scenes in which you receive awards un-skippable.

 

Can we at least have some confirmation this is being looked into for consoles? We can't do the save editing work-around. After spending 80+ hours on a completionist file this is awful.

 

Yeah.. looks like this issues are just being ignored by the devs.
Specially CA since those are very old pc bugs that he never fixed.
He even started a topic to help people save edit the PC game.
Just unbelievable that a dev would incentive save editing to fix his game.
