Like I said: I've wanted to mod my UPF faction into the game but I have neither the time, skills, or resources to do so. The UPF is a fully fleshed out empire that would fit so well in Starbound but sadly I cannot mod them into the game. They would have been an extremely militaristic far future themed nation with both craftable guns and the pokemon type you chose would have a unique ranged attack/character models. I wanted the UPF to be more of a ranged combat species so they have some of the best guns but no craftable melee. At least that's how I wanted them to be.
