"Yeah, be patient, no point wasting ammo on a shot you don't think you'll make, take a deep breath before a long shot, and if your target is moving, lead them, the longer the distance, the longer the lead..when we get a chance for target practice I'll show ya the hands on stuff." He adjusts his bag, "Practice doesn't lead anywhere but up..and it eases the ride if you know the gun."
As Phateon goes on his way, he whispers to himself " T-to many p-people f-for m-my l-liking....I w-wonder if there are a-any other s-scientist. "
I just hope that this gun doesn't disappoint me, for now I'll keep it to myself and we can all always shoot at some dummies one time
"Fine by me." He turns and heads to his room, halfway pulling the barrel of his rifle out of the bag.
Captain Sam looks over the amassing crowd as the last of the crew enters the Tinderbox. She stands idly for a moment, contemplating... Then grins widely and turns to enter the ship. *CRACK* Sam jumps, before hurriedly striding into the vessel. After a few moments, she comes across Romeo, holding (possibly incorrectly) one of her rifles. One of the good ones, no less. The captain takes long strides towards Mr. Hawkins, placing a firm grip on the gun in his hands and smiling with clenched teeth. "Mr. Hawkins! I believe that's me rifle yer holdin', laddie. I'll have to ask that ye not shoot it into me vessel. Bullet holes work terrors in th'void o'space. Now, please return this firearm t'the arm'ry, so as we don't have another accident." She releases the rifle and dusts her coat off. "Right, as ye were." Captain Sam strolls from the hall to the recreational area after dismissing Romeo, glancing around to make sure there isn't anything suspicious going on. Feeling she had a good idea how the Tinderbox's flight controls worked, Lucca proceeds to take care of the pre-flight checklist. Better get those details out of the way now, before the captain gave the order to launch. Sure, she was best described as 'reckless' in the air, but it would simply be embarrassing to crash and burn on the ground.
After witnessing the little bit with Romeo and Sam he makes his way to a open recreational room where he moves to a open, clear table and unzips his bag, pulling the individual pieces of is rifle out and begins to piece it together and place three round standing up beside it, just in case.
Ah hm... right ma'am! Romeo runs toward the armory and places the rifle on a shelf in the wall and puts some kind of super tape in the crack he did embarrassed

Whyt jerks from her fascination with the amount of supplies as she hears the bang. She rushes out of her little lab and towards the noise. Were they already under attack?! She skids to a stop as Romeo rushes past, and waits, glancing around. No more noises. Looks like it was just a misfire...
"Talk about a dandy start.." As he finishes building his rifle, he moves the bolt quickly and then sits back and starts twirling one of the casings around his fingers.
Karana notices the captain walking by and approaches her. "Captain, the guns are in good condition- good enough, anyway, and well-stocked- and if you give me a bit, I'm sure I could figure out how to work them."
"Ah, very good, Mr. Drake. I hope th'Glitch wasn't too troublesome; she c'n get right protective o'the cargo at times." "Thank ye kindly, Ms. Lani. Though maybe ye ought t'wait 'til we're a safe distance from this 'ere port 'fore ye actually try any test firing." "Ah, Phateon, me lad! 'Fraid I missed your entrance. The systems are all in order, and the controls seem straight forward enough. The wheel system seems somewhat more complicated than at first glance, as it consists of multiple layers to account for turning, tilting, elevation, etc.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." Karana begins making her way to the bridge to wait for the ship to set off.
"Huh, this rig will certainly take some getting used to." With the checklist out of the way, now all Lucca needed was the order to launch. Perhaps she should also give the Captain a heads up the things were ready on her end. She looks for the intercom, with a plan to give the Captain a call.
